Saint Louis Post-Dispatch:

News accounts, including on CNN, report that Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin will be doing more than dropping the puck during her visit to St. Louis later today.

Various sources (including some partisan ones) say that the Alaska governor also will be deposed by lawyers in connection with the "Troopergate" controversy, which centers on allegations that she and her husband had tried to use her clout to get her ex-brother-in-law fired as an Alaska state trooper.

St. Louis sources say the deposition will taken in Palin's hotel room here. (For security and news reasons, we are NOT disclosing where she is staying.)

Not only did she not get the boos she deserves, but our star goalie Manney Legacey was injured because of the carpet that had to be rolled out for her, and we lost the game. Goodness I hate this woman more and more everyday!

The Palin curse continues. As another NHL team doubled down on the failed McCain-Palin puck-drop appearance, this time the St. Louis Blues LOST 4-0 to the LA Kings. You'll remember the fate of Philadelphia after their Palin puck-drop - they lost 6 straight.

A disaster foretold.

Yep, she needs to be booed even more. She is a phoney for pretending to be a Hockey Mom just like every other citizen while spending $150,000 in two months; which Hockey mom wears Manolo Blahnicks?

She hurt the star player?! Now that is funny stuff.

today in her first "Policy" speech Palin criticized earmark research done on fruit flies in paris, france. the main theme of her speech was special needs children. she failed to recognize that the research done on those fruit flies found an important link betwn a lack of a specific protein and autism. link here http://localtechwire.com/business/local_tech_wire/biotech/story/1809660/, and can also be found on dailykos front page.

Everything Palin touches is turning to sh*t. John McCain is losing, the Flyers haven't won since she dropped the puck in Philly (0-3-3), and the Kings have the St. Louis Blues over a barrel. It's 4-0 L.A. with a few minutes left in the 3rd period.

As a Kings fan, I sincerely hope Gov. Palin will drop the puck at an Anaheim Ducks game this year. ;-)

Oh, I almost forgot. St. Louis Blues goaltender Manny Legace was injured when he tripped on the carpet that had been laid on the ice for Gov. Palin's ceremonial puck dropped. He gave it a try, but had to leave the game after the first period with a knee injury.

Unbelieveable.

This is BAD. She brings a curse. I can't imagine she'll be invited to another game ANYWHERE.

My husband just said "I think Mccain/Palin just lost Missouri"

Anybody have a clue how she's going to pull this off? Maybe she'll come out on the ice in that cart that the pope used to drive around in.

Is she really doing this puck thing again? Was she completely unaware of her surroundings the last time she did this? Hopefully she will at least not drag her daughters, it's got to be rough on them knowing how much most of the country just wants their mother to go back to Alaska and stay there.

She was given a jersey for the Flyers' game. Does that count as a campaign donation?

Four days after her Aug. 29 selection as John McCain's Republican vice presidential candidate, Palin's lawyer filed an official ethics complaint (against herself?) over the Monegan affair with the Personnel Board, urging the Legislature to give way.

The Legislature refused, creating parallel investigations. That investigation, which found Sarah Palin guilty of ethics violations, is the one she has been claiming exonerated her from "illegal actions".

Palin in the past has complained about the Personnel Board and their secrecy when handling matters. Palin waived her rights to confidentiality, but the McCain-Palin campaign said the investigation would remain secret at the request of Tim Petumenos, THE INVESTIGATOR WHO IS DEPOSING HER TODAY.

Petumenos said the investigation had spread to other officials and other complaints.

One of those complaints is again centered around Mike Wooten, Palin's former brother-in-law that alleges Wooten’s personnel file was illegally breached by state officials.
According to sworn testimony, one of Palin's’s aides, Frank Bailey, had information from Wooten’s confidential workers compensation claim files and a copy of Wooten’s original application for the position of Alaskan state trooper.

After Wooten was injured on duty, he collected workers compensation. That compensation was stopped and employees of the WC company have testified that Palin's aides were involved in the matter
09:40 PM on 10/24/2008
Johanna Grasso of Harbor Adjustment Service, which handles the state workers' comp claims, testified to the Legislature's investigator, Stephen Branchflower, that she was told by the owner of the company that the governor or governor's office wanted Wooten's claim denied.

Branchflower also found that Todd Palin had been handing out an internal, administrative investigation document from 2006 about disciplinary actions against Wooten. Todd has had extensive access to the Governor's residence since Sarah has taken office and witness have stated that he has made several inquiries into Wooten from there.
09:55 PM on 10/24/2008
Of all the matters surrounding Sarah Palin's ethical behavior, the workers compensation denial to Wooten has got the most teeth.

There is an audio tape of one of Palin's aides addressing the Governor's interest in Wooten's status as a trooper.

At least two people in the who work for Harbor Adjustment Service who had initially testified Palin had no direct or indirect involvement in the suspension of Wooten's workers comp have since changed their testimony rather than face purguery charges.

As has been the case in the past, negative news and facts surrounding Palin always seem to be released to the public on a Friday and get's little mention by the MSM.

But I just spent 4 hours of my life putting this post together because, if for no other reason, I honestly feel all of the accusations, denials and legal wrangling are eveident of Sarah Palin's political karma. One that shows she can be vindictive, manipulative and that she honestly feels she is above the law.

Sarah Palin could rise to the highest and most powerful office in this nation. She is not an "empty suit, but a shrewd player in a game where the goal is power.

No one is above the law.

With a hat (trick) tip to "The Rachel Maddow Show" tonight, she pointed out that Palin "outted" herself on the Troopergate matter. During a recent interview with CNN toady Drew Griffin, Palin corrected him when he referred to Troopergate as such.

She instead called it "Tazergate", alluding to her charge that Wooten had tazered one of her relatives. This claim completely negates her assertion in the 1st investigation that Wooten was fired for "budgetary concerns", allowing her political cover to do so. Now, by calling it "Tazergate" she's admitting it was all about a personal grudge all along.

Let us hope that the case findings are made public, in full, prior to Nov. 4th. Then America will see the "real" Sarah for what she is, which is a petty, vindictive schemer.
