Los Angeles Times:

Record numbers of voters across the nation are casting ballots before election day, including high proportions of Democrats and African Americans in some of the battleground states in what appears to be a promising sign for Barack Obama.

In the 32 states that allow people to vote before Nov. 4 without a special excuse, election officials report heavy turnout as the presidential campaign reaches its frenzied last days. That's not surprising in a campaign that has received round-the-clock attention. But it also reflects the intensive efforts of campaigns competing to bank votes before election day.

Just what did Barney Frank mean when he said "We'll have to raise taxes ultimately".

Because, among other things, the republicans have given us ten trillion dollar debt. Would you prefer your children to pay that off? Don't be disingenuous.

But the main reason why I am voting for Obama is his promise to lower my taxes. Why is that disingenuous?

Bush trying to steal another election:

Bush Orders DOJ to Probe Ohio Voter Registrations

In a déjà vu moment from Campaign 2006, President George W. Bush again is asking his Attorney General to launch an investigation into the registration of hundreds of thousands of new voters, many of whom are expected to vote Democratic.

Bush forwarded to Attorney General Michael Mukasey a Republican request that he intervene in the battleground state of Ohio to force 200,000 new voters to either verify the information on their registration forms or cast provisional ballots, which are often thrown out after the voter leaves the polling place.

I'm being innudated with ignorant "joke" racisct emails about Obama from loops around the country consisting of friends who added friends, etc.

Here's my reply to every single nasty racist "joke" or picture:

This is an historic election, and the entire world is watching Americans to see the type of democracy that we are attempting to bring about on a global level. Wow, I'm so proud of you right now and the example you are setting.

i early voted in south Florida
the Florida legislature cut the times the polls are open
so i had to be in line b4 3 pm it was the 3rd day of early voting.
The lines were huge it took 3 hours!
2 pretty girls behind me were saying nice things about obama.
i saw women with children in line some of them wearing obama mama shirts.
Older cubans who had voted republican b4 were saying we need a change . THe line weaved through corridors of the library some book of bush and his cabinet was one of many books you saw b4 finally it was our turn to walk into the optical scan room. So they ask for my license and if you have an older license or the magnetic strip is messed up it wont let you vote. SO they give me a receipt it has a number on it and a barcode they give me a 2 page printout front and back.
John mccain @nd sarah palin is the first option on the ballot. i happily skipped over them and see
BArack ANd joE well this was an easy choice. The rest of the ballot was full of confusing amendments its as if they were trying to trick the voter. A bunch of people in front of me were talking about how they saw the movie "W" and how it was sorta funny but mad them mad more than anything to go vote.

Voting is sexy!

I would not ever contemplate not voting...whatever the early conjecture said! Why in blue blazes would a responsible citizen forfeit their franchise...whatever the projected outcome?
I would vote for Obama if the early vote was 90% Obama. This MUST be a wipeout! We have to thouroughly discredit the failed Repuke policies. They have to be HUMILIATED!
I figured that Carter was going to lose to Reagan in a big way, but I had to show my opposition. It was the first and only time I strayed from the ranch, as i voted for Barry Commoner on the Citizen's party...in greater opposition to the phony Reagan war and no tax party.

I voted early for Obama, and now I am calling every day to supposed swing states.
NO LET UP! The BEAST of Repuke arrogance, bullying, thuggery, thieving, and incompetence MUST be PUT DOWN!

Good to see some members of the media aren't scared to ask real questions.

SADLY IN SOME STATES DEMOCRATS ARE BEING PURGED FROM THE VOTING LISTS BY REPUBLCAN VOTING OFFICALS, SO EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT VOTE WILL BE NEEDED THIS YEAR!!!
IF YOU ARE A DEMOCRAT AND YOU WERE THINKING OF VOTING, VOTE EARLY, SO THAT IF THE REPUBLICANS RUNNING THE POLLING PLACE TRY TO GIVE YOU ANY GARBAGE, YOU WILL HAVE A FEW DAYS TO CLARIFY THE PROBLEM, AND GET BACK TO THE POLLING PLACE TO VOTE!!!

The only way this election will be stolen is if Obama supporters get complacent or lazy and don't vote.

JUST DO IT!

Early voting is the key to ensuring that the GOP does not steal another election and that the message is given loud and clear to all politicans that the American people are mad as hell and they are not going to take it any more. Yes, I voted early. Yes, the crowd in the line that I shared in Florida was overwhelming in favor of Barack Obama. Yes, I know that many of my Republican friends and neighbors are voting AGAINST the GOP candidate, John McCain. There are two reasons given by the anti-McCain crowd: (1) His age, and (2) Sarah Palin.

They know that we are on to them this time, and not only is all of America watching, but the world is watching as well. They will still try, but it is going to be a lot harder.

It will be impossible for them to steal it if everyone GETS OUT TO VOTE.

They can only steal so many votes, so we need extra votes to counteract them.

GO VOTE.

You stood in line for a Wii, you can stand in line to save America's future!

It's going to happen again. Here we go. An election not even close--like it was never even close in 2000 and 2004 because in both elections everyone hated Bush except the religous right; however,
the religous right are not so fast for McCain either this time--is being touted as close in the polls "with McCain gaining." Like a horse. and the TV news shows all these states that are supposedly up in the air "and still undecided." What crap. I think we better get ready for another "surprise upset." Like Truman. Since 2000 we have had nothing but Truman elections, statistically this is not possible and people are not undecided! For better or worse they know the BUSH gang must go. (I hope Obama knows this) It is happening.

I just read that too, and it eerily reminded me of watching returns in 2000 when the station I was watching called Florida for Gore, and then they said no, the Bush campaign just called, and said that they had won Florida. I found it so odd that the campaign knew that they had "won" the state when absolutely no one else did.

McCain's confidence that he will win in spite of the numbers, and the MSM claims that the race is tightening while the statistical sites say otherwise, is really unsettling.

I have to admit I'm concerned. Not about what you would think.

I still don't trust the Clintons. Maybe this is just paranoia on my part, but I was thinking about two of her biggest supporters and surrogates, Ed Rendell of PA and Ted Strickland of OH. Both states are critical for Obama, but those two men have been very tepid in their support and very scarce on the trail. Both are governors with strong ground support in their states, a machine state in PA. I could imagine both those men "throwing" the game in their states, rallying their machines in support of McCain, with the ultimate goal of getting Hillary in the 2012 race.

Talk me down. Is this that far-fetched? Why has McCain abandoned other swing states, even red states, with closer poll readings to make his last stand in PA and OH? Why is he abandoning CO and his neighboring state of NM to throw his dwindling funds in PA, which is showing a double digit lead for Obama right now?

Palin Pipeline Terms Curbed Bids

By JUSTIN PRITCHARD and GARANCE BURKE, Associated Press

ANCHORAGE, Alaska " Gov. Sarah Palin's signature accomplishment " a contract to build a 1,715-mile pipeline to bring natural gas from Alaska to the Lower 48 " emerged from a flawed bidding process that narrowed the field to a company with ties to her administration, an Associated Press investigation shows.
