When Joe Biden campaigned in Palm Beach County, Florida in September he was interviewed by one Damon Weaver, a remarkably poised and charming 5th grader. Weaver's news segment on Biden's visit is highly entertaining and worth checking out. Make sure to watch to the end, when Weaver pronounces Biden his "homeboy."

I'm glad Biden didn't give him some stupid circular answer or talk down to him. His answer was right on for talking to that age group. You can tell he spends a lot of time with his grandkids.
Cutest kid ever! And he wasn't even sent home for being black... oh yeah, that was the other campaign. As ladydriver said Biden didn't give the constitutional answer to Damon's question, but it was a practical one. The constitutional office of VP is so vanilla that every Number 2 in history has had to shape it for himself, according to situations, abilities, and ambitions. Biden's answer, coming from a veteran in foreign and domestic policy and an experienced Senator, is pretty indicative of what role he envisions for himself and has worked out with Barack. I think he's perfect for the job--both for the constitutional role and the job he's sketching out for himself.

Joe didn't give him the "constitutional" answer to the question of what a VP does, but at least he doesn't seem to think he's going to run the senate. That's a comfort.
