I just returned from church.
The first reading from the book of Exodus had this to say:

"If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him as a creditor, and you shall not exact interest from him... If he cries to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate."

"You shall not delay to offer from the fulness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses".

The sermon was about those who are corrupted by power, greed and attainment of material things to the point where they lose sight of service to their God and others.

If what Senator Obama is offering America is being twisted to be socialism, or worse communism (in the words of Gov. Palyin') in a time where healing is greatly needed, then I guess those making the charges are not very loving or selfless human beings with a belief in a higher sense of values and morality. Yet they claim to be religious.

I'm watching Robert Rubin being interviewed on Fareed Zakharia GPS on CNN, and he is still defending the old failed "free market" system, with tweaks that ar clearly pro-Wall St./Big Corporate. Astoundingly, he defended Greenspan as a "very very good chairman." His resposes to the economic tsunamis is that these are very complex problems and things are debatable. He's advising Obama, but thankfully, he said he had no desire to server again (as Sec'y of Treasury). I ferverntly hope Obama chooses someone at least mildly progessive (ratrional about all this) - an economist like Krugman, Steiglitz, or Baker wonderful. A Wall St. recalitrant apologist like Rubin would be awful.

I hope he selects someone who who steers the nation toward higher pay in the lower and middle classes. Long term, it's the only way out of this mess. The wealthy still have to do well.

Wow this is what I call a real advertisement. I think they should grab some donations and throw this up on TV for the last few days before the election. I hope people spread this throughout the internet through various blogs. I will be placing that on the publication I write for. It is a very haunting video but also so true in what direction our country is going.

Wow, this ad is extremely powerful because it represents the truth of republican rule and it's outcome. This ad should be used by every democrat across the country running for office, especially if they are running against an encumbent. Replace the picture of McCain with the republican encumbent. Mitch McConnell, Norm Coleman, Susan Collins, Elizabeth Dole, Gordon Smith etc.... This add should be run continuously for the next 10 days!!!

The last 30-40 yrs of Repub economic policies have brought us to this place. I think the wars and all the other crap were just smokescreens so they and their buddies could keep robbing America. I can't even think about it too much I get so mad, especially since I've seen it happening all along. I certainly can't post her what I would like to do to those......

How sad but so true.
republicans have ruined the American economy.
I listened to mcsame on meet the press this morning talking about why corporations would go someplace with lower taxes rather then stay in America.
Well I say that these corporate people are not American! If these people go someplace else to set up manufacturing plants then their products if allowed in America should be charged very high fees. Why should we care about some corporation like halliburton when it won't pay American taxes and moves to dubia?
They have shown they care not for America why should we care for them?
Let them live with whatever happens to them in Dubia and never spend one dollar or waste one life protecting these unpatriotic people.
If they don't put America first then we should not even recognise they exist!

That is a powerful message that needs to get out there. These are America's real concerns and fears and unfortunately this ad is reality right now for so many people.

Obama/Biden need to use ALL the advertising money to run nothing but this ad for the next 10 days. Because, it works. It is powerful, moving and a realistic view of the last 8 years. I watched it a few times because it really gives you a feeling of our much help is needed in the United States at this time. Very touching...it should be shown and often.
