If he cannot remember who endorsed him, how will he remember important things?

McCain keeps saying that no foreign governments will test him because they know he has been tested.

Why does McCain keep claiming he was "I was there at the Cuban Missile Crisis, I was there, I was tested?"

Why do the main stream media allow McCain to get away with his lies?

McCain was crashing planes in Corpus Cristi and causing a diplomatic incident in Spain when he flew his plane through powerlines that blacked out an entire region.

Mccain was a Ltjg at the time of the Cuban missile crisis. He was a JO(junior officer) and so far down the chain of any importance that the only thing he was tested was how long he could go without shore duty and a beer. I assume at that time that he probably hard liquor in his stateroom. I'm sure he spent a lot of down time in his rack, that's what most JOs do on cruise!

Hmmm--I thought I was the only one who called him a 'JO.' Ooops. Gonna get dinged for that one.

I was also wondering how he was tested. Who or what tested him? Is he talking about being shot down 40 years ago and remaining in captivity for 5 years? Is that the test? Is that why he won't be "tested" if he becomes president? With all due respect for his being held in captivity, but does that really make one be exempted from being 'tested". What else has he done during his 26 years in the senate that makes him exempt from being 'tested'? That world leaders will 'fear' him? I don't get it.

National-
A lot of use were on active duty during the 'Bay of Pigs' flap. Kennedy was a young senator prior to becoming President, but must have learned a lot from that unfortunate mess.
We were there 'At the Cuban Missile Crisis" too. I hardly feel like I "was tested" as McCain claims he was.
I just wonder what the 'Tested' McCain would have done differently than Kennedy ultimately did in dealing with Khrushchev? Would he have pushed the Button?
Lastly, I personally think the way we pulled out of Saigon, after burying over 58,000 GIs, was hardly a 'Victory' as McCain seems to think. In fact it reminds me of the Bay of Pigs affair.

Why can he get away with such ridiculous comments such as "I know where Bin Ladin is" "I know how to fix Medicare" "I know how to win wars" Is he trying to convince himself or does he think people are that dumb to believe him?

OMG... the closing line, along the lines of "that's enough makeup to cover up the fact she's Black" was priceless. Leave it to the Brits!

From the beginning, the opportunity was there to be stay above the fray, to be dignified, to offer sound and thoughtful policies, and to show the kind of character one appreciates even when one is in disagreement with the candidate. Instead the campaign turned nasty, devolved into pandering to fears, and apparently had only one desperate objective--to win at any cost. For me it has little to do with McCain's chronological age; it is the age of his tactics and ideas. Nothing about his campaign
seems forward looking or new.

Not bad, while trying to think of an answer to a very difficult question, he got four out of five right. You have to remember Obama initially stated he received only $150,000 from felon Rezko when it was well over a quarter of a million dollars. Obama, in the debates, stated he served on "a board" with Ayers....which wasn't true, he served on two boards, one panel (where Ayers was invited by Michelle Obama) and was the honored guest at a reception at Ayers' home, which raised funds for his Illinois State Senate Campaign. Obama stated his children went to school at the school of Ayers' children, however Ayers' children were adults. You know, there are a lot of things said, some in mistake, some intentionally. Obama has far more gaffes than McCain and far more discrepancies than McCain....especially the $82,000 given to ACORN for set up and lighting when it was really for voter registration.....

Let me ask you a question LindyLee ... are you peddling political smut because you think it will help your candidate win, even though the polls consistently show that the American people are rejecting this nonsense, or are you persisting with this nonsense just because you can, out of sour grapes?

Either way, get a life.

Where is Obama's one on one on Meet the Press? McCain is sure getting a lot of FREE airtime lately. Such bs. The Obama camp needs to demand equal time.

But he remembered Knute Rockney - though the "win one for the Gipper" line kind of stuck in his throat. The name Schultz came to mind but got self-censored for being Snoopy's dad = not secty of state.

This man is bordering on being totally pathetic. Yes, he's 72 years old, but at some point, it's time to retire in dignity. But at this point, it's like watching a horrible train wreck happen in slow motion right before your eyes.

Pretty sad, to watch a great man, just swimming in his own toilet bowl of a campaign and loosing the respect of the nation.

But it's time for McCain to just retire. I bet at this point, he couldn't handle four more years of this. He's really not up to being President. He's not even up to running for President. In respect, at 45, I don't think I could keep the pace that this guy is running, but that's what he signed up for.

It's time John, head to the ranch. Chill out. It's almost over.
