I Like ItI Don’t Like It
Mccain

During a rally in Northern Iowa University this morning, John McCain made a strange remark that only serves to cement the notion that he does not respect Barack Obama:

When I'm elected president We're going to stop spending $700 billion to buy oil from countries that don't like us very much," John McCain said at Northern Iowa University this morning.

"You know, the other night in the debate with Senator Obama, I said his eloquence is admirable, but pay attention to his words. We talk about offshore drilling and he said he would quote, consider, offshore drilling. We talked about nuclear power, well it has to be safe, environment, blah, blah, blah."

While McCain is targeting Obama's eloquence as empty words with his "blah, blah, blah" comment, it's curious why he would use safeguards for nuclear power as the vehicle for this attack. The line makes McCain seem not only callous but also dismissive of a very real concern regarding nuclear power. It recalls the moment during the third presidential debate when McCain used air quotes while discussing a woman's health as a factor in her having an abortion.

Of course McKane doesn't like hearing about safety and environment concerns because that mean lots of regulations. And we all know what that leads to: a big government, more taxes, socialism, anti-Americanism, defeat in Iraq, blah, blah, blah.

Why is it that the Republicans want no controls, no regulations on anything, including, apparently, what is sold and labeled as "food", and then they rag on Ayres because he is an "anarchist"?

One more thing....

Instead of giving those clothes to charity, WHY WOULDN'T SARAH THE MAVERICK put those clothes on EBAY, since that's her specialty (even though she couldn't sell the plane there). I'm sure the ravenous, crazed, pack of followers that she has would hock their babies' play pens to get the money to bid on them. Then when they get that money, donate that to charity. That would be worth a lot more than a cheap political talking point and another gimmicky stunt.

Palin plans to win the election, become Vice President, and continue shopping at consignment shops? Sounds like she's tossed in the towel along with "happy to return to Arizona" McCain.

Do you really think that doddery McCain has the smarts and skills to mastermind a rig/scam of the election, considering the inept and boob-ish way his campaign has been run?

There is a conspiracy to rig/scam the election, of course, but it's the same team of operatives of the Republican National Committee who succeeded in the last two presidential elections. They aren't doing it for McCain's benefit, they just want the Democrat to lose, and their puppet to win, whoever (s)he may be.

Vote, no matter how hard they try to prevent it.

I am astounded that no one is talking about how this COMPLETELY CONTRADICTS McCon's "cutting wasteful spending" image. Maybe he's so out of touch that he thinks that $22,800 for two weeks of applying make up and doing hair is a bargain. Maybe got a discount at Nieman Marcus and Saks and it was a "steal" for $150,000, so he feels lucky to get away with such a deal. I'm so sick of Morning Joke talking about the unfair double standard of women in the public eye, etc, blah blah blah. John McCain is selling Sarah on her looks and that's why he invested more into her appearance than her knowledge on the issues. "Hey! She may not know what she's talking about, but she sure looks good, doesn't she, HHEHH??!!" You can't preach to America about your veep being an "in touch" "in charge" maverick if she doesn't know where her wardrobe came from, follows orders blindly and doesn't ask questions. Why didn't Sarah take on the good ol' boy network of the RNC and John McCain's campaign and say "Thanks but no thanks on those new clothes. If I want a new wardrobe I can build it myself."

Sorry, Johnny. You can't speak to us about being frugal, and thrifty with our money, when you're a spend-a-holic with your own. Yeah, right. We're not buying it.

We're merely seeing the real John McCain. The whole "Country First", "I'm my country's man", selfless warrior crap is a created persona in the wake of the Keating scandal. He's always been the wicked little man we see before us. A man who preaches "Country First" would dare allow his campaign to talk about "Pro-America" versus "Anti-America" areas of America? He's not real. Well, actually, he's being real now.

In the third debate, McCain said something very similar, but stronger, about nuclear power. I don't have the technical skills to ferret this out on YouTube, but he used the words "safe" and "safety" in an incredulous tone and said something to the effect that an insistance on safety was a far-left position that Obamam held. I am sure this played very strangely in Pennsylvania, where the Three Mile Island core meltdown occurred.

I certainly hope Arizona votes Dem. That would be cool. McCain is such an arrogant, ignorant, ill-mannered person, it's unbelievable. So, say he loses (yes I'm in the 'very likely') camp - does he really expect the new Presidet to 'forgive all'?

With so many comments like this from the "dynamic duo" of the Republican ticket, how can ANYONE still say they're undecided in this election? It boggles the mind (of anyone who actually HAS a mind).

Get out of the way, old man. Next Tuesday, you'll officially be dubbed the loser you've become.

He really does have a disdain for Obama. McCain is not the person I thought he was or perceived him to be..not at all. It's sad that he has reduced himself to this. After all, there are many things that he can truly attack Obama on, but he chose this method (as well as the others). I cannot understand why and how we would even want McCain to serve as our President. I would be too afraid of how he would act with the international community, not to mention us.

It's jealousy pure and simple.
This man will never EVER achieve the greatness that Barack Obama has the potential to reach.

He has always lived in his Daddy's and Grandpappy's shadows.
I'm sure, that while growing up, his mother never gave him (and obviously his equally tempered brother) much love - or at least the kind of love, support and encouragement that was so obviously prevalent in Barack's childhood.

Both men basically grew up without fathers - but it was Barack who was able to work through his issues and it made him stronger either because of it, or in spite of it. That just shows what a weak man McCan't is and he knows it - deep down - I'm sure he does.

There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world, and that is an idea whose time has come.

The time for change is upon us. Thank you Mr. McCain for your past service to our country... If Country First is truly your mantra, please show some grace and unity for the work before us.

Maybe the "blah, blah, blah" was not intentional. Maybe Johnny just forgot what he was going to say.
