Guitar Hero Commercial Featuring Kobe Bryant, Alex Rodriguez, Tony Hawk And Michael Phelps (VIDEO) (POLL)

Guitar Hero has hired some serious star power for their new ad for the video game. The ad features A-Rod, Kobe Bryant, Tony Hawk and Michael Phelps in an homage (maybe?) to the classic Tom Cruise scene in "Risky Business." For those who do not know, Guitar Hero and Rock band were created by the same people, Harmonix. With patches guitars from any of these games will work on the other, so it all comes down to the feel and music selection. Personally I like Guitar Hero series because I am used to the way the music sheet is displayed. The notes are bigger and easier to read. I don't think the Drum kits are compatible yet but once they are I am sure a lot of people will go and buy both games.

Guitar Hero sucks now, and they know it. If you liked the orginal GH and GH2, Rock Band is made by the same company, as opposed to GH 3 and beyond. They're trying to cash in on Rock Band's success, but GH song selection, design, timing and peripherals are all crap. Rock Band (1 and 2) all the way!

Go to youtube and do a search for "thinkverybig" and watch all of those videos. The one called "We Must Change" would be fitting to recite at Obama's Inauguration.

For those who are making fun the the "tighty whities" that the athletes are wearing, the underwear represents the athletes sport specialties.

I would like to see about 30 seconds more of the ad because they were really into the song.

Alex Rodrigues is HOT!!! And that's all that matters in this commercial. But he should get a weekly STD/toxicology exam after sleeping with Madonna...she looks like she may have an infestation....

If you're gonna spoof Risky Business.... you need the tighty whities, even if Phelps's causes a scandal.

After all, that's really what it's all about, right?

Yeah, that's what it's about, but a woman (like Heidi Klum who did this commerical too) is entertainment when she strips and a guy is either doing porn or doing comedy. SInce the guys didn't want to make complete fools of themselves, they kept their shirts on while Heidi's commerical needed a rating.

When I'm president, there will be signs on public buildings that read "men are not allowed with a shirt."

I loved the energy and fun of this commercial, but I guess I'm old. I didn't read the paragraph before I watched the video and I couldn't figure out what they were saying or selling. But I loved the fun the evoked!

Lighten up. Let's say you didn't see the ad but someone that doesn't get the cultural references described it: 4 guys in underwear jumping around with toy instruments to Bob Seeger's classic rock hit. Oh, wait, you're right, they'd be playing REM's "Everybody Hurts." My bad.
