Guitar Hero Commercial Featuring Kobe Bryant, Alex Rodriguez, Tony Hawk And Michael Phelps (VIDEO) (POLL)

Guitar Hero has hired some serious star power for their new ad for the video game. The ad features A-Rod, Kobe Bryant, Tony Hawk and Michael Phelps in an homage (maybe?) to the classic Tom Cruise scene in "Risky Business." My daughter (23) and her friends love Guitar Hero. Watched them play it one time and it's hilarious. The guys in the commercial are popular with that age group - so this would probably be very effective for them. I'll have to ask her opinion. But I thought it was funny.

If you wannabe a wannabe for the rest of your life then run right out and get Guitar Hero. The real item, though, requires somewhat more than an electric outlet and a desire to be a faux-axman.

The ad was pretty lame.

For those of us that have no musical talent (believe me, i've tried and tried with multiple instruments) this gives you the rush and satusfaction of being able to "rock out!" But maybe you're just an old fuddy-duddy ;)

No, I'm admitting to be an American who has lived in another country for about a decade.

Why is it 'lame' not to know what Guitar Hero is? I recognise - and LUST FOR - Kobe Bryant, but who are the rest of the weirdos and I repeat, what are these 32 seconds supposed to promote? A computer game? A candidate for election? It was, frankly, cringe-making.

And yes, I realise that my lusting for Kobe Bryant probably opens me up to a whole lotta flack about whatever this sports hero has done to sully his reputation since I left the US. Apologies in advance to any women who are repulsed by him and his behaviour; please note that I know nothing except what I saw in this video, and as we say here in the UK, PHWOAR!
