Mccain Steep Hill

John McCain has a "very steep hill to climb" to win the election, former White House adviser Karl Rove told "Fox News Sunday."

Rove, nicknamed "The Architect" for his role in helping President Bush win the last two elections, gave a sober assessment of McCain's chances, explaining that Barack Obama is ahead with 317 electoral votes, according to his own electoral map.

Rove forecast that Virginia, Colorado, Indiana and Ohio would go Obama's way and that McCain has to win back those states and dominate the remaining battleground states to have any chance of winning:

In order to -- in order for McCain to win, he's got a very steep hill to climb. He's got to win all of the toss-up states, 64 electoral votes, all the yellow-shaded states on the map.

Then he needs to strip away Ohio and Indiana with 31 electoral votes to get him to 252. And then he needs to either win Colorado and Virginia, which gets him to 274, or win one of them plus Pennsylvania, which would get him to 282 or 286. It's a steep uphill climb.

Rove also commented on recent reports about infighting within the McCain campaign:

It is a sign of undisciplined people who do not have the loyalty that they ought to have to the candidate whom they're serving. And it's -- it's a sad sight to see. Nobody makes themselves look good by this process..

I now get it...
This is the second presidential campaign the libs have a chance of winning in 32 years... now I see why the mass hysteria abounds.

Hey, it may even be the first, because some people say Bill Clinton was the best republican president in a long time.

Folks let us not become complacent. When The Lizard Rove speaks these words, it is similar to
the rhythmic swaying a venemous snake uses to hypnotize its prey into submission.
Rove is attempting to sway Democratic voters into complacency, because he KNOWS that he
might succeed, and that legions of new voters who weren't all that enthused about waiting in line
might just turn around and go home, or not go to vote at all, thinking "it's in the bag".
Well it's NEVER IN THE BAG until the day after or even later, and we need to have MILLIONS of votes in order to overcome the various voter fraud schemes at work in our Diebold electoral process.
Please, please PLEASE, after all this hard work, DO NOT pay attention to early projections, do not
let yourselves become complacent.

Rove's observations of individuals within the McCain Campaign being "undisciplined people who do not have the loyalty that they ought to have to the candidate whom they're serving", in addition to the revelations that Palin has gone off the Reservation and is not taking direction demonstrates a key weakness in the Candidate, John McCain ... he is simply NOT a leader. He may have been a Maverick during his flying days (possibly to his own detriment on a few occasions) but anyone familiar with the Military realizes that not all personnel are suited for leadership roles despite their rank.

You can't blame the McCain Campaign for lacking a rudder until you verify there is someone issuing appropriate orders from the bridge. McCain, despite his sterling biography, is not a leader, he is and has always been a follower ... anyone who looks at the state of his campaign can see a similarity to the fate that befell Hillary. Bottom line, if the candidate can't control and direct the strong personalities tasked with running the race, how can they command the ship of state?

Also, I got some sadistic pleasure reading Frum's piece (it's obvious he is still smarting from his encounter with Maddow) but his advice to the GOP is a cowardly act of surrender. If the GOP were to redirect their funds to Senatorial races this late in the game they wouldn't have the time to develop a cohesive strategy before the clock runs out November 4th. The only way Republicans can sell the dangers of single party rule is to say "Look how bad WE did!" ... is that a winning strategy?

Frum has revealed he is as lost as the rest of his Party.

This is just too funny. I remember when Bush was running everybody in his party were like little robots in lock step. Now, everybody is running like chickens without a head, everybody doing their own thing and running their own show. I am not surprised Miss Moose is doing whatever she pleases, she has lots of ambition and the people than doesn't like McItsAllOver must be advicing her to ignore him.

This happens every election, the losers are always looking for someone else to blame, the candidate, the campaign, the opponents, the courts. Next we will here the party is coming apart at the seams, every election is the same. Nobody wants to be left holding the bag, the losers don't get more work and they don't get to go to the cocktail parties.

Newsmonger. Actually, if you read your Bible closely, you will see that your christian values are much closer to the values of the Democratic Party. If you also read the Old Testament, you will see this even more clearly. As a believer, whether christian or jewish, or even muslim, I assume, you have a duty to care for your fellow human being, provide medical care, provide charity, etc. According to christian values *GREED is NOT GOOD*; it is one of the seven deadly sins. But you do not have to approach all this from a religious perspective. Biblical rules are also good common sense. The rules on how society should be organized, how laws are to be applied, and how business is to be done, have proven to always work. The laws on usury (too high interest rates) are right there in the Bible. Being *kind enough* to lend people in distress and gravely ill money at interest rates of 26% is neither kind, nor christian, and it is usury, for starters. Making contracts, such as labor contracts, contracts on insurance and then not honoring those contracts, is against biblical law. But, again, this does not work either if you leave religion out of it. Again, also read what Jesus says on slander: Raca is *evil*. Evil speech is forbidden.

Obama to introduce closing argument, tomorrow in Ohio:

"In his speech, Senator Obama will tell voters that after twenty-one months and three debates, Senator McCain still has not been able to tell the American people a single major thing he'd do differently from George Bush when it comes to the economy. Obama will ask Americans to help him change this country, and say that in just one week, they can choose an economy that rewards work and creates new jobs and fuels prosperity from the bottom-up, they can choose to invest in health care for our families and education for our kids and renewable energy for our future, and they can choose hope over fear, unity over division and the promise of change over the power of the status quo."

So! What exactly is it you are looking for. Just because you and the Republican Party say that Barack Obama is hiding something doesn't make it so.
