What's Your Reaction?

John McCain, in his ranting about Joe the Plumber, sounds suspiciously like Matt Foley, the motivational speaker played by Chris Farley on Saturday Night Live and known for living in a "van down by the river." See for yourself:

He's Clumsy and is relying on sound bites, he has not message to offer the people but the cowardly attacks on Senator Obama's character

Bad idea, clumsily executed. Not quite sure why McCain would remind anyone of Matt Foley. Comedy needs a kernel of truth; this didn't even have a lieutenant of truth. It did move me to find the original Foley sketch on YouTube; still one of SNL's great moments.

about what? 3finger's personal opinion on the SNL sketch? Or that this HuffPost post was a bad idea, clumsily executed? Or that he's not sure if Matt Foley character reminds him of McJudgement? one word posts are usually worthless. yours biglith seems to be no exception.

Thanks! A lot of us needed a good laugh.
Sheesh...Some people are just too serious about themselves.
This week has been pretty tense and this election not over until its over. I worked on Obama's senatorial campaign which was a much easier victory and I am pretty sure he will win this one. A good laugh is still a good laugh and g.o.d knows a lot of us need one.

Ok HuffPost this crap dosen't even belong in the even funnier catagory. Flagged as offensive, off topic, and too stupid for words. If you're on this tip, bring back Volvo.

I love the Huff - but stuff like this makes newcomers conclude that the site isn't very legit. At least qualify it as BS first. IMO: it stinks.

I agree with libratine. I made it through about four seconds, thinking it was going to be serious stuff. It's almost too gleeful, a jinx waiting to happen. Get geeky after we win, if we win. :)

John McCain inspires me to contribute to his opponent and work as a volunteer on Election Day.He also inspires me to look forward to the weeping of joy I will feel on Election Day and Inauguration Day in January.
After all of these miserable eight years of two misguided wars and all the other blatantly grossly negligent, outright criminal leadership (Katrina, etc) I look forward to a President I can be proud of.
The tears will flow as I witness a new time where we can be led by a curious mind and intelligent thought.
Barack Obama delivering the "State of the Union"? More tears of joy.
