Michelle Obama To Do "Tonight Show" Monday

There was Sarah Palin and her doppelganger double Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live and there was the John McCain-David Letterman dustup on Late Show With David Letterman, to mention just two of the many election-year comedy showdowns.

Now it's candidate spouse time, with Barack Obama's wife, Michelle, scheduled to meet with Jay Leno.

"Michelle Obama will be appearing on The Tonight Show on Monday," NBC Universal spokeswoman Tracy St. Pierre told The Associated Press on Sunday.

McCain's wife, Cindy, visited with Leno earlier this year.

I think she is great. She seems down to earth. MSNBC just reported that the ATF uncovered a Neo-Nazi skinhead plot to kill Barack Obama and go to a predominately black school to kill a lot of people. That is very dismaying.

I'm always amazed, how cool and collected she is, even when presented with information about Cindy McCain's vitriol, or McCain and Palin's rac.ism. She doesn't seem to hold a grudge, ad even said she didn't take the term "That one" the wrong way. The Obamas are so forgiving, it's amazing.

Has it come to voting for the 'lesser of the evils'? We know we cannot live with any more of the REPUB's offerings, but can we live with the DEM's numerous promises? We may need to get

Definitely a 2-4-1 as Sonomarc says. Michelle is going to do great things, more so than any recent First Lady. I'm thinking more of a Lady Di type of figure in terms of public engagement and fighting for causes. Less with the hotness, but more with the intelligence and leadership.
