Obama Mask Listed As "Terrorist Costume" On Amazon

I had heard from a friend that searching on Amazon.com for "terrorist costume" would yield but one costume -- a Barack Obama mask.

Figuring it was a joke, I had to try it for myself. After entering "terrorist costume" in to the "Apparel & Accessories" search box at Amazon, however, the search results were less than funny. Sure enough, there was but one result, a Barack Obama mask selling for $49.95.

Since this story has been making a buzz on teh internets, Amazon.com has fixed the "terrorist" listing. I wonder if they will issue an apology?

This is an OUTRAGE. Obama IS NOT A TERRORIST!! (there may have been ex?terrorists, left-wing troublemaker groups like ACORN, and seething racist preachers all around him prior to his candidacy but that certainly does not make him one.)

Well I wrote to them and requested they close my account as I won't be purchasing anything from them in the future. I love the convenience of there company and have ordered a lot of stuff from them but I am starting to realize more and more that the only way to really voice your opinion nowadays is with your wallet.

I just tried it myself. Typed in "terrorist costume". Got a bunch of books, and.........a JOHN MCCAIN mask. LOL.......guess they thought better of it, and substituted whatever they could....

Again, I urge people to call Amazon and cancel your accounts. Take your business else where. We all need to unite and show the power of ordinary people. We can't let Amazon get away with promoting hate in our society.

Make the pledge to cancel your Amazon acct and tell at least 10 more people to do the same. Ask them not to buy anything from Amazon.

Outside the fact that they had a "terrorist" listing for the mask, (who's on charge there, I wonder?) that's pretty disgusting on its own. What disturbs me even more is that it could have slipped through the cracks. I wonder how much railing there would have been, if this would have happened with a McCain mask?

By the way, I don't even think it's a decent likeness of Obama.

I just typed Terrorist costume and now John McCain's mask is on the list. I guess someone decided to take a shot at him too. It is a shame that now the Republicans are going to insist Obama denounce this, where all of this stupid stuff started with Palin.
