Phony Election Flier In Virginia Tells Democrats To Vote On Nov. 5

A phony State Board of Elections flier advising Republicans to vote on Nov. 4 and Democrats on Nov. 5 is being circulated in several Hampton Roads localities, according to state election officials.

In fact, Election Day for voters of all political stripes remains Nov. 4.

Here's the best contact info for a protest. According to the news release, the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation is the agency that determined that "no criminal activity occurred" and decided not to file charges. Here's their complete contact information:

I've written to that email address the following:

I am appalled to read that the Commonwealth of Virginia will not prosecute the criminals responsible for distributing fliers that sought to disenfranchise Democratic voters.

This reprehensible activity is completely against what America stands for and what our Founding Fathers pledged their lives and their honor to establish. The criminals should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Every election year we read about many instances of dirty tricks such as this one, and there seem to be few if any instances of the criminals being held accountable for their crimes. How do you expect to deter this kind of profoundly anti-American activity if you don't prosecute?

Show some leadership, Virginia. Show some backbone!

To add to the list of controversies going on in VA - 2 staffers from the VA democratic candidate, Judy Feder, were assaulted by staffers of VA republican Congressman Frank Wolf. They were asking him whether or not he supports the John McCain economic plan when Wolf's crew smacks and punches the one Feder staffer, while two other Wolf folks pin the second Feder staffer against the wall. The worst part - Wolf just stands by and watches...
