CHESTER, Pa. — Gotta make time to laugh in a campaign _ and court the youth vote.

In the midst of a mad dash toward the election, Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama will make time Wednesday to appear on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" with its host, Jon Stewart.

The satirical news review, which covers the election under the banner of "Indecision 2008," offers candidates a chance to show off their ability to be humorous if they can respond off the cuff.

Stewart also tends to put candidates on the spot on news of the day.

Obama will tape his appearance via satellite during a campaign swing in Florida on Wednesday. The segment is scheduled to air at 11 p.m. EDT.

This will be Obama's fourth time on the show. He last appeared on April 21, the eve of the Democratic primary in Pennsylvania.

Obama's Republican competition, John McCain, has been a guest on Stewart's show, too.

Both candidates will be making the most of TV on Wednesday. Obama has bought 30 minutes of prime time to make the case for his candidacy and discuss the economy; the program will air on CBS, NBC and Fox. McCain will be interviewed on CNN's "Larry King Live."

It seems that John McCain has had a lot of influence on his voters, He has taught them how to attack.
I can say one thing about Barack Obama...... He has run a cleaner campaign against McCain than Bush did in 2000 against him. On the only thing that he could have shown that he was not like Bush. He ran his campaign against Obama JUST LIKE BUSH.

I think that is because he hired the same hack consultants. That is all the know how to do.

Did you see Colbert Monday night. He took Republicans like Frum, Noonan and Brooks to task for "rejecting" such tactics.

Rejected them ONLY because they didn't work this time.

Some of the best political commentary of the entire election. Colbert was magnificent.

Have You Early Voted Yet ?

Hey everyone... If you've been listening to Obama's speeches, those of Biden, the Clintons, and many others, please remember that they are strongly urging you to get out and EARLY VOTE as soon as possible,

If you have not yet early voted, grab a couple of friends, and bring them along to the polls, and VOTE TOMORROW...

Remind everyone of the reason why you're voting for Obama, and why he needs everyone's help at the polls.

Talk to your mother, your father, your brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, and uncles.. Get them motivated, and help them cast an early vote for Obama.

There is one week to go before the election, and only a few days left to EARLY VOTE! No one should leave this important duty until the last minute..

Remember that Bush won the first election by less than 1000 votes, and he won the second election by less thatn 10,000 votes.

Get out there, VOTE EARLY, and then influence others to do the same for Obama...

No matter what the polls say, it's going to be a really tight race.

You have to believe McCain when he says that he has the Democrats "right where he wants them". He knows what he's speaking about... Give him credit for that.

So if you have not already, Please... make a move and EARLY VOTE Tomorrow - Vote Obama and "Sraight Democrat"..

America depends on your vote.

So.. Have You Early Voted Yet ?

I voted yesterday in Texas and waited an hour! One of the workers said to tell everyone to vote as soon as possible to avoid even longer lines.

Obama needs us and the country needs Obama!

That is just great news that Obama will be on Jon Steward, maybe Stephen Colbert could invite him as wekk and Obama would have twice the opportunity to present himself to the nation ! A very good thing ! After all, even the republicans watch comedy, right?

What a great day Wednesday will be for Obama. If only John McCain had so much money he to could go on tv and spill his poison. I guess that Campaign reform bit him in the a**. Now that only the top 2% of the country really benefits from his policies and they can't give him more than $2300, oops!

To encourage the youth of this country, see this youtube video that inspires people to Spread the Vote.

why doesn't obama redistribute some of that money back to folks who could use it? i guess he's waiting to get his hands on yours...

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:32 PM on 10/28/2008

you small rediculous little person. your not a millionaire, what will you whine about when you benifit from Obama's policies, too?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:54 PM on 10/28/2008

Oh no! He shouldn't waste voluntary campaign contributions from the electorate to speak to the electorate about his ideas and vision?! Sure, what are elections except beauty pageants? Mooselini was right in spending 150K on designer outfits and >20K on makeup - why speak about the country's problems and your position - when you can make like a celebrity and stir up hate at rallies?!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:41 PM on 10/28/2008

What would like for him to do? Spend it all on designer clothes like Palin? Or would you rather he re-distribute the wealth back to the top 2% like McBush?

This is not your money.... this is money from people who support Obama and they want him to spend this money to show the country who he is .... and what he is going to do for the country.... We can see the ads McCain puts out... half truths spun into lies....fake plumbers... etc., ... Obama has stayed above the fray when he could have put out commercials like McCain calling P.A. folks racists... it would have been the truth;, he said it .... but. he doesn't.

I hate to say it, but I would much rather see Jon Stewart interview Sarah Palin. It will NEVER happen, because it would be brutal.

Stewart? Ok. but I'd rather see Colbert interview Palin. I'd love to see that!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 06:30 PM on 10/28/2008

Oh could you just imagine the mavericky hilariousness of it!!!! It would be a ratings coup.

I could see Sarah's deer-in-the-headlights look as Stewart asks questions. It would be too much laughter in one day...

Stewart's IQ is easily twice what hers is. It would be interesting and I can see the twinkle in his eye as he destroys her.

It is shameful to say, often I have to tune into Jon Stewart and other comdies to get a real scoop on the news. CNN has gone to the dogs -- double sad.
