ABC:

Allies of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin are now trying to throw McCain aide Nicolle Wallace under the proverbial bus, and as they do so those in McCain's circle are wary of the impact on Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., himself.

Since becoming McCain's running mate, there have been a host of issues where Palin publicly challenged decisions made by McCain -- withdrawing from competition in Michigan, for instance, or for not attacking Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., for his longtime relationship with the controversial Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

But nothing has seemed so resonant as $150,000 in clothes purchased for Palin and her family by the Republican National Committee.

And I am moving to Afghanistan and live in a cave. I am sure I will be safer there than here if Mrs. Palin were to become President.

Watch the repub moral relativists continue to wax rhapsodic about the elitist Palin (who can't even manage to declare she won't vote for Stevens next week). Then watch how many thousands of family-value repubs vote for the corrupt Stevens next Tuesday.

Pathetic

How ironic if Palin ends up turning on McCain after Nov 4.

What most don't seem to pick up on is that that "Barracuda" nickname she earned on her basketball team was NOT for her play, but for her aggressive attacks on her own teammates - "put me in coach, Jane's doing a crappy job" - attacking her own teammates so she could get more playing time - not much of a team player.

Rumor has it, she ALREADY *IS*. She apparently has a long and glorious history of using political mentors and then turning on them.

Palin turned on McCain from the moment she was selected as his runing mate.

When Palin told Rush that "she had nothing to loose," I know she was out for herself and she would turn on McCain just like she turned on every other person and politician in Alaska whom she stepped on the get where she is today.

For a Party whose who premise is "personal accountablility"--can't afford your mortgage, get another job, privatizing Social Security, no need to give all children healthcare (voting against SCHIP)--seems no one wants to hold themselves accountable. Looks like another Republican message of "do as I say, not as I do." We, the people, no longer wish to hear a lecture from two people about stopping the "abuses" of Wall Street as you called your whole life for deregulation and the other found guilty of abusing her power as Governor--regardless of disregarding it. It will be so nice when we have two gentleman with great intellect and character--Obama/Biden '08.

Because transparency, accountability, responsibility...that is for everyone else...not for them they are above that....Unless they are stopped. Like Palin said about her office renovation in Wasilla when she was mayor she was counseled that she needed approval but went ahead claiming that she could do what she wants until the court stops her. It is imperative that we stop this diva in her tracks...she does not represent hard working, honest Americans...We need to send her back home and let the Alaskans deal with this monster they helped to create.

This all goes back to the original premise that Republicans "always" blame others for virtually everything, and never take responsibility. I'm sorry, but Rush Limbaugh and his ilk have sanctioned the blame-game to such an art form that they have absolutely no ideas on governance or how to be objective. The fact that John McCain's camp and Sarah Palin's camp are now tearing each other to shreds is simply business-as-usual. Until they admit that hubris got them to where they are today...the rest of us just get to sit back and enjoy the powder keg with a beer and popcorn. It's great entertainment - that's for sure.

Nicolle Wallace, née Nicolle Devenish, former Bush suck-up and apologist. Where's Karen "Butch" Hughes when we need her?

This is what happens when someone has not been properly vetted. McCain and his entire camp can scream, yell and talk bad about Palin all they want but in the end, it's their fault. This problem was brought on by themselves . It's easy to look back and question "What If?" but it's too late now and they are reaping the benefits (or lack of ) of their decision making. Oh well, can't complain about it now.

Ultraconservatives see Palin as the next great thing because of her appeal to the base. However, she appears to only appeal to the base (and when I say base, I am referring to ultraconservatives). It is going to always be difficult to sell her to more centrist Republicans, Democrats, and Independents, and that is a large portion of the US voting population. You really can't blame the Couric interview on the handlers. I doubt anyone thought that she couldn't name a few newspapers that she reads. She felt the need to explain in detail what the vice-president does, and if she didn't know, she should have changed the subject. The Republican party is looking for the next Ronald Reagan, but Ronald Reagan had a special gift of charisma, probably as a result of acting. He had a gift for the one-liners that probably defused whatever knowledge that people thought he lacked. So far, Palin has not proven to be able to do that and she has a lot of ethical negatives. I just don't think she is the right direction for the Republican party.

Yeah, sure. That's why Reagan couldn't compare the reality of his tax cuts...200+ billion/yeat to the fantasy of his ideology....tax cuts pay from themselves. Remember: Rep Phil Gramm personally walked Reagan's budgets through the legislative process. Yeah, that Phil Gramm.

Reagan: just your typical anti-middle class rethug.

How much more evidence does this country need to realize that these two candidates and their campaign, divisive, on all counts, CANNOT possibly lead this country out of the current quagmire we're in.

Both Palin and McSame are lousy leaders
rather than addressing the issue like a leader
they make an aide fall on their sword-
very much like the mafia.

Maybe, but I don't care! It's a wonderful decadence! I can't wait to see what's next... the closer we get to Nov. 4th, the more desparate and flailing they are going to get! It's way better than anything any soap opera writer could have come up with!
