Palin

One of John McCain's advisers recently called his running mate Sarah Palin a "diva" after she went off-script at a rally, and suggested she was looking after her own political future over the current campaign. Now another adviser ups the ante in a conversation with the Politico's Playbook, labeling Palin a "whack job."

Meanwhile, Dana Milbank reports on more signs of division between McCain and his running mate on the stump:

"Sarah Oh-Twelve!" bellowed a man in field coat and jeans, one of several thousand at the Leesburg rally, when Palin spoke about her tax policies yesterday.

The oh-twelve message, if mathematically flawed, seemed to capture the crowd's sentiment. There were "I [Heart] Palin" bumper stickers on cars, "Team Sarah" T-shirts in pink, "Sarah!" pins and countless signs: "You Go Girl." "You're in Palin Country." "Maverick Barracuda." One of the souvenir vendors said his most popular offering was a pin showing Palin next to a pit bull and the usual "McCain-Palin" logo reversed, with her name first and in larger letters.

...

The diva made sure to spend some time on her "own track record" in Alaska, particularly all the taxes she cut. "Sarah! Sarah!" the crowd chanted.

"So, Virginia, will you hire us?" she asked. "Will you send us to Washington?"

"Yes, we will! Yes, we will!"

In 2012, that is.

One of John McCain's advisers recently called his running mate Sarah Palin a "diva" after she went off-script at a rally, and suggested she was looking after her own political future over the current ...

You know Republicans ca think what ever they want to think about McCainPalin. I can tell you the top Republicans "DO NOT LIKE WHAT McCAINPALIN HAS DID TO THEIR PARTY" They can't wait for this election to be over, the big boys in the party will chew Palin up and vomit her onto the streets of America. She will never have a place in the Whitehouse. They have been a total embarrassment to what intelligent Republicans that are in the party . What is even funnier is that McCain will go down with her, for running a sleazy campaign. They are both the worst candidates that has ever run for office in the history of this country. Mark my words the fat cats in Washington will make sure McCainPalin never wins any election. Palin will be lucky to keep her Alaska Governorship. "HAVE A GOOD DAY"

If McCain's advisors have realized that she's a whack-job, I hope republican voters will as well.

Palin' be wailin': "I'm no whack job. Who says that? Are they implin' that Joe Sixpack and Joe Plumber's whack off to me in their wet dreams or what?

And that Obama - graduatin' No. 1 at Harvard Law School - I told you he's elite.

"John McCain - he's not elite. He graduatin' 498 out of 500 at West Point. But John, he got admirals patriots for his father and grandfather. So although McFlame practically flunk out of West Point, and then crashes three jets for reckless flying, and loses two more after that - he gets promoted to command a fighter wing on merit because he's not elite. He sacrificed his life for his country and learned Country First, Rich Next.

McCain is a true patriot from one of the patriotic parts of America and not a spoiled brat, a brawler, a womanizer, a drunk or a gambler who abandoned his first wife and kids for some beer baroness like those liberal lyin' Liberal Media claim.

If we don't win this one, I gonna succeed Alaska like South Carolina did (another true patriotic part of America) and be done with these socialist and liberals who callin' me a whack job. And Rush and Carl they gonna come up here and join our new country of Alaska where we will Drill Baby Drill in my designer hockey mom outfits. Yes Sir're Bobby," {Wink Wink}

Wolf Palin
She with her soft hair, sweetened lobes, feminine mystique, warmth of smile, nurturing creator of life, lactating with babe in crib, lifts a high powered rifle whose shot cracks the air and leaves a soft furry mother wolf dead. Wolf too was out trying to do the right thing, preserve life, keep safe, shore up her family.
Sounds of chopper blades cut the air as She yells “You betcha, I killed it!” Hungry Babes wait in a den for their mother who will never return.

Palin lovers are worshipping someone who is not really who she pretends to be. I have noticed her voice has changed since the early days of her campaigning. For someone trying to ignore the press, have you noticed what a big mouth she has become? Madeline Albright just announced that Palin misquoted Albright's words (conveniently??). That's why McCain/Palin are good at -- lying!

So she cut taxes but for who? In the long run, you pay for it. Palin calls Obama a socialist. Is that what she is by reaping the $$ from the oil companies in Alaska and spreading it out to the people there? Isn't social security, MediCal and other government programs that are needed a way of socialism?

The decrease in Alaskan's taxes were paid for by all of those in the rest of the US who had to buy the gas and suffered under the high price: the truckers who own their own businesses, the school corporations who can't afford to retain teachers b/c of the gas used to get the kids to school, the small HVAC & *PLUMBING* business owners who have fleet vehicles to make service calls.

I guarantee that the increase in gas prices hit small plumbing business harder than the potential tax increase on PROFITS will.

What small plumbing businesses need is a cost-effective energy strategy that will keep gas prices low.... drill, baby, drill will NOT lower oil prices in the longterm. Even T-Boone Pickens says so.

A whack job? A diva? Palin country? Is that by any chance like Marboro Country? Where the deer and the antilope play and true Americans still don't pronounce the g on the end of ing. Are we so stupid that we can't see that her political acumen is maybe good enough for a beauty contest question about what she would do to change the world but we are talking about her being possibly the most powerful woman in the world. Her intelligence compared to Gold Meir, Indira Ghandi or Margaret Thatcher, would be like a gnat compared to a dinosaur. I seriously doubt if she knows who those three women are. Imagine her giving orders to someone like Condaleeza's succesor. She would probably tell her to get in there and kick ass like the hockey players do against all those Muslims and non-Americans in the Blue States. Don't be surprised to see her as a regular on Fox News after she loses. They have a host of losers. She could team up with Ann Coulter. Birds of a feather.

There has got to be some semblence of pride on the right. These guys have and are making fools out of you and making you look like the stereotypical, uneducated, narrow minded ,idiots that are attending these hate rallies and speaking as "Joe the plummer". "Blinky and Winky" are entertaining with thier big bag of political props but they are not something to bet the future of this country on.

They're all nuts in the Repub camp. People buying into lies from the mouths of the same folks that sold the lies to the American people four and eight years ago to elect and then re-elect Bush.

I saw a Frontline episode about Pakistan yesterday. It's a nightmare. Insurgents from Afghanistan have taken over tribal regions and there is a real fear that the Taliban could take over the Pakistani government.

As I was watching all this, I thought... isn;t it obvious that poverty is to blame for all this. The poor in Pakistan are willing to kill and die for their Relegious leaders, because afterall, Their God is a constant provider, even when their government does nothing about their poverty.

We need to understand that Obama's views on eliminating poverty in the US is as important here as it is there. It's not anti-American to try to solve porverty, and it's not anti-American to ask the rich to pay higher taxes. It's for the good and the health of the Nation.

Whoa -your're starting to sound like Obama. Their Gov't does nothing about it. They chose their Govt. We are going to have starving children too, when Obama makes all our business close and move over-seas where taxes are low. It's called get a job! If you cannot work- you will be helped but, if you can, then-work. The businesses already pay the most taxes- they are the only reason people have jobs. Without business, Gov't has no money. Good luck feeding the poor when there is no money coming in. He'll help alright- help take this country to it's knees.

We will just tax their products that are coming into our country instead of giving them incentives to leave problem solved. We are the biggest buying country in the world we also should be the biggest producing country in the world. We have to get back to our roots.

What are you talking about??? Our jobs are already over-seas, and this with Bush in office for 8 years almost, with his tax breaks to the rich and big business. I think we will have a better chance of keeping business in this country with Obama's plan. He is only going back to the tax that was in place through out the Clinton years and business did quite well in those years. My 401K looked sooo much better then as compared to now, Bush and the Republican's have killed our economy!

A country that successfully attracted a lot of high-paying jobs is Ireland. I lived there in the mid 1990s and boy was it booming-- Dell and other high-tech companies setting up shop, unemployment dropping like crazy, well-educated University students who (for the first time) weren't looking to emigrate to the UK or the US to be well-paid.

Ireland managed this in a few ways. First, there were low low taxes on corporations. In addition, corporations were also not responsible for health insurance. The government of Ireland provides public health care to whomever wants it-- and if you want your own, you have the option of purchasing private insurance separately. Their per capita expenditures combining public/private health fees is $4,000/year (which is much lower than ours) and their satisfaction rate with public health care hovers at 90%.

Second, corporations wanted a large, well-education population. The government provides very good, very cheap university educations through their University College system. Once again, you can choose to go private (and attend, for example, Trinity in Dublin) but you don't have to.

The government can create a climate that is beneficial both for businesses and residents. Citizens of Ireland pay a LOT in taxes, but they don't have to sell their souls for health care and education. And businesses are attracted to the low taxes and educated population.

I agree most of these countries take foreign aid and the leaders stuff their pockets while their people go hungry.

Our tax rates in Canada are very high however, We get universal health care, our drug prices are kept low by the government. And our children are vaccinated. If that is what some Americans consider socialism i will take it. However while you are thinking about this realize that Cindy McCain only paid 27 percent on her millions last year.

This is what I think is going on here. Yes, Palin is probably a "whack job". But, I think Romney's people are trying to start sinking her now so that she will not be the front runner in 2012 (since they expect McCain to lose). It is actually pretty smart politically. As an independent (but, who has not voted ever for W. (hey I may be independent, but not dumb)), McCain sunk any chance of getting my vote when he picked Palin and started calling Obama a terrorist (in so many words) and a socialist. What the media is really missing is that a lot of independents like me were completely turned off by the McCain campaign for these two main reasons. Imagine if a 70+ year old man with past medical problems passes on and we are stuck with a Palin presidency. That would be a national nightmare. I never thought anyone could be dumber than Bush, but I think she is. We would have another 4 years of a dumb person in the white house that would run our country into the ground. If the Democrats had a really dumb candidate, I would not vote for them either.
The "base" of the Republican party just may promote her and elect her in the primaries in 2012, but they will do so at their own peril when the general election comes unless Obama does a really poor job in the next 4 years (if he does indeed win).

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:01 AM on 10/29/2008

I'll tell you what, I'd rather see an accomplished person without a Harvard degree in the White-House than an unaccomplished one who hangs around with Anti-White people, Anti-Americans,Pro-Palestinians and has actually admitted to using Cocaine-There's some great decision making for ya! I want him for our President what a great role model he is. You go elect that wonderful man. When all hell breaks loose; we will have you to blame. Atleast Mccain loves this country and has proven that. Obama has an extremely Liberal Agenda and has come from no-where, we know little about him the Media won't help discover anything -you people are out of your minds.

Whoah, I feel bad for you. It's gonna be a long eight years for you, I'm thinking. I mean, here we are in 2008 with the economy in great shape, we're winning the war in Afghanistan, the middle-class is doing really, really well, we've resolved the immigration debate, we've seen new-found respect for America just blossom all over the world, we've made genuine progress in the Arab-Israeli conflict, we've significantly cut back on air and water-pollution to the point that most of us are now driving hydrogen-fueled cars... only to have this Muslim Socialist loser come along and ruin it all. Wow... I can certainly see why you're upset.
