I live in Europe and can go ANYWHERE by train. Love it.
Try taking the bullet train from Scotland to the Faeroes. But yeah, on the Continent, and Great Britain, you have a good rail system.
I will drive so far to avoid flying. It is a miserable experience. I remember when it as a treat - the airlines treated a passenger like a guest, and you were pampered with politeness and care. Now you are lucky to get through security without being handled rudely.
Airlines deserve to lose business. Driving is peaceful, it's freedom. Nobody insults you, nobody hassles you.
driving is selfish and un eco friendly and if the govt was smart, would tax the sh+t out of gas so that they could rebuild the infrastructure with trains which creates jobs which stops our dependance on foreign oil which ends the war against "al qaeda"
