Lieberman Likely To Lose Committee Chairmanship

Democratic leaders are discussing a major reshuffling of Senate committee chairmanships, according to multiple sources, and the proposed changes include ousting Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) from his coveted chairmanship.

Lieberman, a former Democrat who supports Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) for president, is likely to lose his gavel on the Homeland Security Committee he has chaired since January 2007, say the sources who see him being replaced by Sen. Daniel Akaka (Hawaii), the committee's third-ranking Democrat.

Joe votes with the Dems on every issue aside from the war or terrorism so I wouldn't throw him totally to the wolves, but taking away his chairmanship seems like a fair trade for him running to the Republican National Convention and being McCain's BFF. I would imagine he is smart enough to know that this would be coming hence the reason he is now trying to make nice with the DNC.

I'm hoping after the first of the year, Lieberman will go to the Senate and find he doesn't even have a chair to sit in! His name plate is off the door. I'd like to see him wandering around looking for his chair to sit down, lol.

or when he sits in his chair, it breaks and he falls to the floor because someone sawed through one of the chair legs. And for no reason, bees come along and start stinging his face, and a chandelier falls from the ceiling and smashes him flat to the floor and when the paramedics take him away, the stretcher falls from the back of the ambulance with joe winding up in the Potomac river

Senator Lieberman has proven himself unworthy to be chairman of the very important committe Homeland Security.

As part of a campaign of anti American strategy to divide with the use of hatred, violence, intolerance, and vitriole, he is unfit to be in charge of the safety of this homeland. He, as a supporter of McCain, has been an enabler of the smears, slurs, slander, and deceit and totally dishonorable campaign of his friend and colleague. His endorsement of this ticket, which places a dangerously unprepared, uninformed, unqualified person one heartbeat away from the presidency, renders himself dangerously unfit for this position. I hope that is the first order of business, to remove this man who has participated in the domestic terrorism of this campaign. He should be ashamed of himself. Both he and McCain should be shunned in the Senate, if not censured. They have wrought some pretty ugly stuff in this country and leave us all more unsafe.

Harry Reid is the seator from my state, Nevada. We've been e-mailing him regularly to dump Joe Lieberman since he went through menopause and got all confused about his party affiliation. It isn't too soon for us. Youall need to write your state senators! Please God it happens soon. Just chalk it up to "redistribution" of bad people.
