Palin Calls McCain Adviser To Smooth Things Over

Don't be surprised to see maligned McCain campaign adviser Nicolle Wallace rejoining GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on her campaign plane very soon. We're told Palin personally called Wallace last night to smooth things over and, more importantly, stop the campaign from totally imploding.

As a vicious blame game within the campaign escalated over the $150,000 wardrobe debacle -- with many a finger pointing directly at former Bush White House aide Wallace -- McCain campaign officials scrambled to repair the public relations disaster.

Bottom line -- Even if Palin did not do all the shopping (and do we know this) - she certainly did not have to wear them. Wallace worked for her and Palin could have said no and shown she was really a maverick. I suspect the RNC of trying to "save" what they can of the mess and Wallace was assigned to take the heat.

The repubs are going to use her just like they did the Secretary of State from Florida, after she confirmed the vote was correct...­.they tossed her to the dogs, where is she now? On a book tour or doing hair?

But for a couple of mavericks who claim to be working for small businesses, why didn't they buy her clothes at a little boutique that is owned by an individual? Seems to me putting more money into the pockets of SAKS, NEIMAN'S and NORDSTRAM'S isn't exactly looking out for the small business owners of America.
