I Like ItI Don’t Like It

It's good to know that as the election reaches fever pitch, we can all agree on one thing: Piper Palin is precious. (So before you get upset because the kids are off-limits, please remember that she's been in the spotlight--literally, as you can see in the last photo--throughout the campaign. And, just like the Obama girls, she's cute, so it's fun to look at pictures of her.) She also displays a serious sense of style...one that sometimes falls right in step with her mom's (oh, the glasses!).

I really enjoy these photo pieces on the campaign. My favorite is Obama and Michelle's PDA, but I like seeing Sarah Palin's kids, too. Piper and Trig are adorable.
Sometimes it is exhausting to keep up with the real stories about the polls, voting, the candidate attacks. These are a nice break.

150,000.00 I can not afford to purchase clothing needed by my children because I am having to pay for gas, rent, utilities, food and medical expenses and there goes my small income. Just the basics. I am a college graduate, yet I live very similar to my parents who did not complete school.

Times are hard. I can't even imagine how it would feel to spend that amount of money in two months time. I question whether or not I am going to buy milk for the week.

She's adorable, and as a teacher, I can confidently say she is getting a hell of an education on the campaign trail. She will forever have a love of travel, meeting people and public speaking. She'll probably be the most successful of all the Palin kids.

I detest her mother, though...

I totally agree with you. Like I said elsewhere, she's travelling around the country and witnessing a presidential campaign from the inside.

Sarah Palin's children are beautiful. No doubt about it.

This child is adorable. I hope this experience will give her an eye for her future so she won't end up like her poor sister, pregnant at 17. Bristol will not get to go away and live in a collage dorm. No beauty contest for her. HIgh school drop out boy friend every other parent's nightmare. A little education on birth control would have kept this girl from giving up the last years of her childhood. Shame on you Sarah for not protecting your daughter from making this mistake.

I like Piper's beige jacket. I suppose there's no chance I could find the grown up version at J. Crew.

I bought a blue jacket, that I swear is identical to the one in the photo, at Old Navy for my daughter.

To all of you who are complaining about school, I am sure she has a tutor that is taking care of the education. In fact she is probably getting a better education than she would at some public school! So now why don't you focus on your own children because Palin's child will be alright and if you don't have any children of your own then go get a life. Because this woman can't do anything right as far as you are concerned. I am an Obama supporter but I don't see the point in constantly acting childish in our comments!

Well...I guess I'm complaining because there's more to a primary school education than what could be taught by a tutor. Socialization with peers jumps out in my mind. Also, I have children of my own, and I truly value their public school education. As a working mom, I'm used to multi-tasking, so don't worry--I can still find time to be concerned about Gov. Palin's kids being dragged around the country and being used as shields from the press and as props-- AND take care of my own just fine, thanks.

The woman has 5 children and a grandchild on the way, I am sure she will be fine with making friends! You act like the little girl has been out on he campaign trail for years when its only been two months plus if you are so worried send one of your children as a playmate to little Bristol... As a working father I can multitask also but I do know when it is none of my business to worry about other people and their own backyards. I am sure as a working parent it would probably do you some good to keep your focus on your own children because God only knows what type of mess they could be in!

Isn't Piper considered truant? Why does Sarah need to take her kids everywhere with her? They all belong in school not out on the campaign trail.

Gotta admit - she's adorable. She's not missing much school that she can't make up in endless hours on buses and planes. It's a once in a lifetime (hopefully) chance to get the heck out of Alaska for a while - the kid deserves a chance to see a different side of life. I bet she and the middle sister won't be quite as fond of Alaska life now that they've had a taste of the "Lower 48." Should be interesting...I'm sure we'll all get an extensive update in about, oh, 4 years.

Aside from the fact that the child belongs in school, I'm wondering how much the RNC spent on that little number.

Oh, aside from the cost of the little jacket, I forgot that education can be a dangerous thing if practiced indiscriminately.

School anyone? And how much did the RNC spend on those outfits? Hmmm?
