Tina Fey

Tina Fey appeared on Conan Tuesday night and talked about 3-year-old daughter Alice, having Sarah Palin at SNL with her pregnant daughter Bristol and how great it was to hug Oprah on camera for "30 Rock." (Hugging Oprah is "everything you want it to be... it's like going to a spa for a week.")

According to Fey, when Sarah Palin ("she was nice") guested on "Saturday Night Live," she asked Fey where Alice had gone as the show approached. Fey told Conan:

"Gov. Palin was like, 'Oh did Alice go home? Oh, cause Bristol woulda babysat.' She offered Bristol Palin to babysit Alice... And it was Bristol's birthday, too. I was like yeah, that's exactly what 17-year-old Bristol Palin wants to do at SNL is babysit the toddler of the lady that gooks on her mom... but they're a nice family"

Also, Alice gets confused telling Sarah Palin and Tina Fey apart, and Fey let Alice watch "Psycho.

PALIN IN 2012 !!!!!

(Making her presentable and keeping her in check should bankrupt what's left of the GOP.)

If Sarah Palin is running her campaign, she missed a chance to at least try to show some class during this campaignn, win or lose. Instead, she has a circus-like road show with characters, including Hank Jr, and Plumber Joe, and riles up her audience with an endless barrage of shrill attacks on Barack Obama, without offering anything positive.

I am about as big of a Sarah Palin fan as you can get, but even I have to admit that Tina Fey is freakin' funny & nails it as S.P. It is no secret that Fey and nearly every other writer/actor/producer of SNL is pro-Obama, but sit back & laugh at the satire., especially the Amy Poehler rap last week, and take it for what it is!

To Serenity Joy, who is neither serene nor joyful in her comments. Tina Fey was famous before Sarah Palin, and will still be famous long after Palin sinks back into well-deserved obscurity. Fey built her reputation as the first female head writer on "Saturday Night Live" and now stars in "30 Rock", her own successful TV show.

Her impersonation of Palin isn't an attempt at "45 minutes of fame", as you put it (misquoting Warhol). It's a public service.

Yes, well said. I also caught some of Seth's interview on NPR talking about writing some of those bits with Tina. Very funny. Tina was the one who came up with the "end of days" line. That's one of the funniest things I've seen.

Tina Fey has parlayed her Plain Jane looks into 45 minutes of fame by impersonating and cruelly mocking Gov. Palin, to whom she can't hold a candle. When Gov. Palin makes a kind gesture, Fey can only continue with her cruelty and mockery because she is inhumane. She can't understand women who care about their children and look out for each other, else she would not engage in these relentless attacks. God protect "Alice" from growing up like Mom, maybe a little time with the Palins would be a benefit.

perhaps my first thought that Bristol is tired of raising her mothers children and wants to have her own is true, this day and age teenagers only get pregnant when they want to

Cares about her children? Dragging the little ones all over at all hours of the night? Having the Poster Girl for Teen Pregnancy on stage for all America to gawk at? Right, she cares!

I'm certainly no fan of Sarah Palin, but continually crackin' on the person who's been your ticket to gold lately? Nawww....

"Fey" is definitely one word for it. The other? OVERRATED!

does that mean somebody is going to ask Tina to run for VP? Stupid seems to be a pre-requisite in one party.

I had to laugh at JestMe's rant (below). A kind, magnanimous gesture is fuel for such an alarmist tirade, with verbal bullets for everyone. Some of us are soooo righteous and principled!
