Tina Fey: Sarah Palin Offered Me Daughter Bristol For Babysitting (VIDEO)

Tina Fey appeared on Conan Tuesday night and talked about 3-year-old daughter Alice, having Sarah Palin at SNL with her pregnant daughter Bristol and how great it was to hug Oprah on camera for "30 Rock." (Hugging Oprah is "everything you want it to be... it's like going to a spa for a week.")

According to Fey, when Sarah Palin ("she was nice") guested on "Saturday Night Live," she asked Fey where Alice had gone as the show approached. Fey told Conan:

"Gov. Palin was like, 'Oh did Alice go home? Oh, cause Bristol woulda babysat.' She offered Bristol Palin to babysit Alice... And it was Bristol's birthday, too. I was like yeah, that's exactly what 17-year-old Bristol Palin wants to do at SNL is babysit the toddler of the lady that gooks on her mom... but they're a nice family"

Also, Alice gets confused telling Sarah Palin and Tina Fey apart, and Fey let Alice watch "Psycho.

You are so right, no one did have to twist Palin's arem to run for V.P. she was that quick in accepting once she asked her daughters, and they said "Yeah Mom, sure go for it" (which is how she described it). Is there some special reason she should get a "free pass" when it comes to comments/criticisms? If I remember correctly, your (not so)secret crush said herself that women in politics should be able to handle themselves without asking for special treatment just because they are female.

How is it a criticism to point out the obvious hilarity of someone who believes in abstinence-only education in schools to have a pregnant teen daughter? I have yet to read a post ripping Bristol for her condition (and would honestly be appalled to read as much - teens make their own choices and not all of them are "gems"). You are correct that not many of us would escape some ugly scrutiny under the same microscope Palin is under....but you can't say she didn't expect it.

Sarah Palin says awful things about Obama. These things only serve to fracture our country. Sadly, she CHOSE to partake in this childish campaign (small minds talk about other people?) and because she did she has to take what she gets.

Her biggest mistake may have been comeing out of the gate with that huge list of lies she dumped on us at the convention. People with triple digit IQs don't appreciate being lied to.

Ironically, her inability to handle the media only accentuates her inability to serve as a VP.

Oh, I don't think she had far to travel. Even before McCain chose her as VP her life seems to have revolved around violence and hate. I don't think its a matter of McCain's people alone. She seems very satisfied throwing the punches. Its disappointing to see that someone can be so nice to Fey and so underhanded and dishonest (or perhaps more unsettling, unconscious of the deception she's propagating) to Biden/Obama.

I think Tina was just explianing what happened and nothing else to read here for me except if I where Tina I would be a little shocked to have an offer of pregnant or unpregnant girl 17 yr old babysit my 3 year old without knowing her. It's not that Bristol is pregnant and unmarried and she and her boyfriend are high school drop outs, it's that Bristol was a complete stranger to Tina and her little girl. Just because Bristol's Mom is running for V.P., doesn't mean it would be any less traumatic to plop Tina Fey's kid in her charge. Think about this...there are actually mothers out here who give careful consideration to what's best for their child and about who they entrust the welfare of thier little ones to, and I'm sure Ms Fey has back up that she knows and trusts without relying on someone she has never met.
