Tina Fey

Tina Fey appeared on Conan Tuesday night and talked about 3-year-old daughter Alice, having Sarah Palin at SNL with her pregnant daughter Bristol and how great it was to hug Oprah on camera for "30 Rock." (Hugging Oprah is "everything you want it to be... it's like going to a spa for a week.")

According to Fey, when Sarah Palin ("she was nice") guested on "Saturday Night Live," she asked Fey where Alice had gone as the show approached. Fey told Conan:

"Gov. Palin was like, 'Oh did Alice go home? Oh, cause Bristol woulda babysat.' She offered Bristol Palin to babysit Alice... And it was Bristol's birthday, too. I was like yeah, that's exactly what 17-year-old Bristol Palin wants to do at SNL is babysit the toddler of the lady that gooks on her mom... but they're a nice family"

Also, Alice gets confused telling Sarah Palin and Tina Fey apart, and Fey let Alice watch "Psycho.

Stop acting like sp is all that. why the hell is her pregnant teenage daughter galavanting all over the place with her? any self respecting woman, especially one who has as many offshoots as sarah should know that a prego needs rest.

I'm sure Sarah meant it as a kind gesture to Tina Fey, something personal and generous from one friend to another ::gag::

Sarah has no sense of propriety, no moral compass to tell her when something is totally inappropriate. Just like her winking at the camera during the debate. And wearing a red leather "Thriller" jacket when campaigning for Vice-President of the US. And dragging her 5 kids all over h.ell and back instead of leaving them safe at home.

Can you imagine if Obama had 5 kids crawling around behind him everywhere, plus one is a pregnant teenager? People would say "Oh how ghetto!"

Did you watch the video? Tina said several times that Palin was "very nice" and "perfectly lovely". She's met Palin, and you have not.

How do you know her sense of propriety or moral compass? My guess is you don't like her because she differs from you on the issues and you, like all knee-jerk thinker, are so very sure that your view is the correct one.

Open your mind.

What the queen bee and her sheep can't stand is a gorgeous, smart and successfull lady, who didn;t have to marry money.
Get ready, she will be VP and then President, while huffpo sheep will flock the drugstores for their antidepresants.

She did not marry money. She got it from tax payers! That's how she flies.

BTW, Tina Fey is infinitely smarter and much better looking than Palin.

Tina's quote above which mentions Fey poking fun at Palin includes an offensive word that she did not actually say. I advise anyone to listen to the interview for themselves and listen very closely. The word Fey actually says is "goofs," she does not say "gooks." I believe the term "gook" is an offensive words used during the Vietnam War to describe the Vietnamese enemy the U.S. was fighting. I hope someone with the H/P realizes the mistake and fixes it.

How sad. Most 17 year old don't want to babysit especially on their birthday. Did she even know the 3 year old? Most mothers don't leave their kids with strangers.

Did you even think for a second that Sarah might have been joking? Even if she weren't, don't you think a 17 year old girl would be thrilled to watch the baby of a big celebrity? You huffnuts are pathetic.

Oh no. . . we get it. Of course she was trying to get more perks for the family. In this case watching the baby of a celebrity, and that makes it all right? Obviously Tina already had the welfare of her child figured out beforehand. Home and in bed.

the word is "goofs." SHe says it before, she says it after, it's the word she used on Letterman. It's goofs.

I'm no fan of Sarah Palin's political views, but why criticize her on her efforts to befriend?

Just because she's a troglodyte politically, doesn't mean that her offer to have her kid babysit Fey's infant wasn't genuine. It may have been merely social chitchat and banter, but so what?

The point is that your daughter isn't a piece of furniture that can be offered. She is a human being and before her services are offered, she should have been asked. Also, it was her birthday!!

On top of it all, it seemed to me that she was insinuating that Tina Fey is not taking care of her daughter adequately. Palin sounded very controlling to me. So what else is new?

Where did you get that idea? Your imagination is out of control.

I agree, not necessary to criticize a gesture that had what seems like good intentions. Sarah Palin is not a bad person she is a misguided individual with no place in politics. She probably was just trying to make small talk anyway, though she doesn't seem all that good at it.

gooks?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:42 PM on 10/29/2008

Yeah what does that mean?

According to Dictionary.com it means this:

gook 2 (gōōk) Pronunciation Key
n. Offensive Slang
Used as a disparaging term for a person of East Asian birth or descent

So what is Fey saying? I am not up on the latest slang so maybe there is another definition. Otherwise....

That little quote was very telling. Sarah uses everyone and anyone to advance herself, including her 17 yr old daughter.

I would have been livid if my mom volunteered me to babysit at a venue like SNL. But Sarah wanted to make sure people said nice things about her after the show so she pawned off her daugher.

She also used the 7 year old to mitigate boos from the ice hockey crowd by dressing the poor kid in a Flyers jersey. How awful. And it didn't work.

And lately she's been giving the mike to the 7 yr old during rallies so the kid can say, "please vote for my mommy". Shameless.

Actually they did a couple times but not during campaign rallys I think. One comes to mind is when the older daughter (I think) corrected Obama on where he was that afternoon. That one was on TV I think but I dont remember where. The convention?

It's been discovered that the owner of the Philadelphia Flyers ordered applause played over the PA system to mitigate the booing when Fraud Palin dropped the puck that started the Palin curse for the Flyers. (source: Countdown)

Does anybody know if St Louis has won since she indrectly took their goalie out of the lineup?

Letting a pregnant teenager babysit is like letting an angry old veteran be commander in chief. Both are wrong and scary.
