I Like ItI Don’t Like It

This is now my favorite video about the 2008 election. In fact, it might just be one of my favorite videos in general. Watch these kids get out the vote in style. Scroll down to the second video to see Kira Phillips of CNN interview the 6th and 7th graders of Ron Clark Academy about making the song. They also give a live performance.

CNN ran a really touching video of one of the boys in class talking about what Obama's election mean to him, and he couldn't finish because he was so moved...it was unbelievably stirring...

WOW! Wonderful, Fantastic!

There teachers and parents should be exceptionally proud of them. There are informed and funky :)

I love them all and proud of each and every one. Kudos to the school.

This is a great example of what REAL education reform can do! The Dept. of Ed. must understand that we can no longer teach AT our children, we must teach TO them. Most students can understand and use most computer programs that their teachers cannot even pronounce. Yet the DOE insists on teaching them using obsolete, outdated methods. In order to unleash the genius that resides in all children, we must REFORM and then follow up the reforms with FUNDING!

Vote Obama/Biden 08 for our children!!!

This is a great example of postive education reform! Obviously the teachers at this school have realized that we have to teach TO students and not AT them. Presenting subject matter in formats that 21st students relate to is what brings out the best in them. Not just rap, but in other ways as well. Our children can use computer programs that some teachers cannot even pronounce and yet the dept. of ed. still insists on teaching them in ways that are obsolete and only serves to make them better test takers and not thinkers. Kudos to Ron Clark Elementary!!!

Obama/Biden 08!!!!!

My dad always said, "kids get it." They do...We need these kids to go to and contfront every angry voter-to wake them up.

Why does everyone patronize kids? They know a hell of a lot more about politics than you give them credit for...the anchor was acting they were geniuses because they know issues, but there are a LOT of kids out there with opinions, it's just no one bothers to ask.

Wouldn't it be nice to follow these young people over the next few years to see if this effort makes a difference in their lives?
