Alec Baldwin Imitates Sarah Palin, Calls Her "Beautiful" And "Bible Spice" (VIDEO)

"30 Rock" star Alec Baldwin talked to David Letterman about guesting on "Saturday Night Live" alongside Sarah Palin.

"She was lovely" and "very nice" he told Letterman. He also said he didn't want her hand on the nuclear button.

Then, imitating her voice (which he's done before), Baldwin said of Palin, "She said to me, 'I've been talking to your brother Stephen and we've been chatting, trying to figure out how to knock some sense into you.'"

After a few more Stephen jokes on Alec's part, he told Dave, "She's a beautiful, beautiful woman." and referred to her as "Bible Spice."

Alec Baldwin may be progressive, but sadly he's still sexist. Why was he compelled to comment on Palin's physical appearance, since that's completely irrelevant to her fitness for office. I absolutely disagree with everything Palin represents, but I think it's rather ridiculous that almost every man that offers an opinion about her positions on political issues still feels the need to acknowledge her physical attractiveness. I guess some men will never evolve!

Didn't Letterman bring it up? That's pretty much all Palin has going for her. If she did things that actually deserved respect then perhaps it wouldn't even matter. I don't see the problem and frankly it's just how things go. Perhaps the comments are reduced to her looks b/c she really has nothign else... I think Alec Baldwin is great, funny as h.ell and is quite witty.

Her physical appearance plays a large part in her being the nominee. One of the things about her that appeals to voters (male and female) and electrifies crowds is that she is attractive.

Acknowledging that and understanding it is important to understanding the political process. Barack Obama is a handsome man, and while his looks are eclipsed by his intelligence, they did contribute to his success as well.

When ardent Obama supporters say they don't think Palin is attractive, they appear biased and mean spirited. The fact is, she is a Governor and a 44-year old mother of five, (not a 24 year old spokesmodel) and by most people's measure, she is attractive.

So, when Alec Baldwin, acknowledges not only that she is attractive, but also that she's a good sport and friendly with his brother (whom he loves in spite of their conflicting political opinions) he appears to be a reasonable man who has weighed all the facts and comes to a reasonable opinion that she is woefully unqualified to be in line to be President.

Letterman asked. He answered. The world is enthralled by physical beauty. It has always been and always will be. Your unwillingness to accept that will not change anything.
