Crooks And Liars:

On FBC's Cavuto show, Neil Cavuto lambasted John McCain over his economic policies, or lack thereof. It's a searing commentary on McCain's nonsensical approach and the shifting positions he has taken during his campaign.

Cavuto: Frankly, neither of your numbers adds up. But I've come to see a consistent pattern in Obama's. For the life of me, Senator Straight Talk, I see no such straight thing with yours.

{snip}

You rail against big government, yet continue to push cockamamie spending plans that make a mockery of it. That's why you're losing right now, Senator McCain.

Not because you don't have the courage of your convictions. But because on economic matters, you have no convictions, period

Guess he doesn't trust someone who actually listens to the experts and who has been endorsed by the Financial Times and the Economist!

If Cavuto goes off the air for a while, we can assume he's probably been sent to Fox's "Reindoctrination" camp.

Well, he'll be in good company with Shephard Smith after his calling out Joe the Plumber about his bizarre foreign policy comments:

I know...I have to admit I was VERY impressed (and surprised) by Smith's response. Could be not everyone on Fox is totally hateful after all!

Rut Roh! Cavuto better start sending out his resume. He's gonna need a new job after that ranting. We ALL know how Fox Noise operates.

You'd be surprised. Rupert Murdoch is supporting Obama. Mark my words, KRM will start shifting his network to the center as he will follow the electorate as we all realize the country is now shifting left and this is indicative of Countdown beating the Factor and Rachael beating both Larry King and Hannity.

KRM loves money more than politics and if the country is going to head left, then so will tv ratings and revenue.

Cavuto is right on this one. But that's not the scary part. McCain's very inconsistent regarding the bailout vote but I guess we have come to accept that Obama's bottom up plan is OK. What I haven't heard is any good arguments as to why Obama's plan has the ability to work. Sure it sounds good. But jobs are not created from the bottom end. Yes, it takes people with money to create jobs. Are all of those people rich republicans? The answer to that is a resounding NO. There are plenty of very very rich liberals who have made great contributions towards job creation and building wealth for their employees. They too will feel the "pain" of the Obama plan if it actually happens. Perhaps since they have "made it" and are happy to share the wealth they won't mind giving their hard earned money away to people who aren't paying taxes and to others who are not even interested in employement. This country was founded on families passing money from generation to generation. Some building it, some blowing it, but it wasn't founded on the government telling us who to give our money too when we make too much. Stop competition, stop the drive to create individual and family wealth and you will have economic hell in this country. Look back at the days of Jimmy Carter. For those of you who were alive then, democrat and republican...it sucked. That's the direction we are headed with Obama.

The rich people are working hard? Yeah, like Cindy McCain? Working real hard playing with their stocks and shares speculations and their real estate investments? It's a bubble economy. In case you haven't noticed it, in the era of late capitalism, money is made from money. You need wealth to create wealth, and so the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting more poor. It's time wealth was linked to actual production, to hard work.

Wasting our wealth on people who don't want to work? You mean people who don't get thrilled at the prospect of collecting garbage everyday, and cleaning floors? Who don't jump up and down with joy at being given such great opportunities? Bad people! Let's forget that only these jobs are available to them because the country has systematically cut them off from access to opportunities, to resources, to good education.

One thing Obama's policies will do. They'll show that people's wealth, their willingness to work hard will increase directly in relation to the opportunities and resources given to them. It will finally start to become clear that the poor and minorities aren't jobless because they're lazy, or incapable, but because they've been systematically denied opportunities (including the vote, as we're seeing now with GOP attempts at voter suppression). It will become clear that the people who will save the nation's economy are not your bankers and remisiers, but the working class and the middle class who actually keep production going.

I'm rather impressed with Covuto for calling McCain on his economic "policy." Personally, I think the so called policy would be more accurately discribed as McCain's economic "disaster."
