CBS News:

Taking the stage as one of the pre-program speakers at a Sarah Palin rally here in Rush Limbaugh's hometown, Sen. Kit Bond, R-Missouri, fired up the crowd by warning them about Barack Obama's judicial philosophy.

"Just this past week, we saw what Barack Obama said about judges," Bond said. "He said, 'I'm tired of these judges who want to follow what the Founding Fathers said and the Constitution. I want judges who have a heart, have an empathy for the teenage mom, the minority, the gay, the disabled. We want them to show empathy. We want them to show compassion.'"

Folk, we here in Missouri have put up with this al ko hol ic for so long. He comes from a very rich mid-Missour-ah family and tried to do some sneaky things with his blind trust years back. They love him in farm country, though, because he keeps those funds coming. Very bitter, Bush Republican, though.

Too bad his bullying and gravy train existence will soon come to an end. He'll probably retire to his front porch with his friend, Jack Daniels.

Most all republicans in both the house and senate are "Guilty " 0f crimes against the Constitution, as is some on the Democratic side as well. Its just a matter of time when this "Country " installs a "Real" Attorney General, to go after the "Scum " in the congress. Only then will "We" be able to clean and sanitize the "People's House.

As one of "the Gay", I find it amusing to be slammed by one of the Cretinous.

I don't know about "firing up" the crowd. I saw the video and at the point where Bond started speaking with such disdain about judges having empathy for "the teen-aged mother" and "the gay", along with a host of other minorities, the people got pretty quiet and in the background a lot of eyes could be seen shifting sideways as if people were looking to each other to ask, "did he just say we don't want judges to have any compassion?". I mean, some of these people attending these rallies may be virulent racists and homophobes, but I am guessing more than a few of those people have been hauled before a judge for one reason or another. It is only the wealthy who can afford to buy their way out of trouble, like Mr. Bond, who can afford to call for judges who don't show compassion. Everyone subject to the legal system, regardless of political stripe, wants a judge who can show empathy, at least for them.
