Joe The Plumber Ditches McCain (VIDEO)

John McCain announced that Joe the Plumber was at his rally in Defiance, Ohio Thursday morning. But when McCain called on the campaign poster-man to stand up, he wasn't there. "Joe, where are you? Is Joe here with us today? Joe, I thought you were here today," McCain said. When there was no response, he added, "Alright, well, you're all Joe the Plumber so all of you stand up!" Watch:

McCain campaign officials later said that Joe was slated to appear with McCain at a different campaign event on Thursday.

Just reading the first page of comments made me laugh; it seems the more ridiculous this campaign has become, the funnier the posts--thanks! Its such a relief to read comments from 'normal' people rather than the sludge you get from the far-right rubes.

But I'll be laughing to tears if even ONE person buys a 'Joe the Plumber' book (can he even read?) or one of his country albums (who cares about a lying dipwad singing songs). Just the fact that he's got a publicist and lawyer trying to get him deals is hilarious enough, but if people buy into it, THAT will be over-the-top hilarity. He looks--and sounds--like a dumb skin-head. His son must be so embarrassed by him at his age..
