Joe The Plumber Ditches McCain (VIDEO)

John McCain announced that Joe the Plumber was at his rally in Defiance, Ohio Thursday morning. But when McCain called on the campaign poster-man to stand up, he wasn't there. "Joe, where are you? Is Joe here with us today? Joe, I thought you were here today," McCain said. When there was no response, he added, "Alright, well, you're all Joe the Plumber so all of you stand up!" Watch:

McCain campaign officials later said that Joe was slated to appear with McCain at a different campaign event on Thursday.

The crowd sounded pitifully small. What were they, like 40 people? That was truly pathetic.

I don't know who they thought they'd be kidding with that, they still kept the same tight camera angles in order not to reveal that the vast majority of the crowd wasn't even of voting age, but did they expect those kids- bussed in regardless of their will- to start cheering during his desperate call for Spartacus'es?

John McCain may become even more grumpy in the months ahead. He plucked Sarah Palin out of near obscurity and made her a star by virtue of naming her his vice presidential running mate. He talked about Joe the Plumber 21 times in his third debate and turned this unlicensed plumber named Samuel into a celebrity with a press agent and a likely country music recording contract even though he doesn't sing.

And what does McCain get for his trouble? Palin and the Plumber go rogue on him.

I also live in Defiance. After hearing that the students were more and less required to attend the Rally, many parents were upset. The ones that were the most upset were the ones that had special needs that were told that they not attending and watching it on TV. What an outrage.

This clip shows that McCain has contempt for all the "Joe's" in his audience of unsmiling angry faces. History will note the stupidity and mood of the McCain-Palin campaign. With luck we will find ourselves moving beyond their brand of divisive politics and the lies employed to keep our nation small minded and selfish. Come together America and move beyond the bigotry and ignorance. Care for each other, not because a religion or book tells us to, but because we are connected and need each other to be as good as we can be. Let's admire the spirit in people and not the material success they may have achieved. These things I fear a McCain cannot help us with, but Barack has what it will take to take us on that path.

This fits perfectly with McCain's schoolyard bully tactics. And don't we all revert back to childlike metal capacity in our declining years.

As far as Joe the Plumber, it is interesting that he WAS at a Palin rally. McCain's handlers obviously forgot to tell him that he had a better place to be. In fact I think JTP was a plant by Schmidt and others in the first place and they did not tell McCain to keep him in a position for plausible deniability when the dirt came out. I just can't that Joe even came up with the original question. I am not a comspiracy theorist, but it just doesn't smell right. I think the handlers then messed up to feed McCain the Joe information and making it a prominent part of the debate. Remember McCain brought it up and I doubt that he would have even seen that interview had not someone add this to his predebate preparation.

Just like weak vetting of Palin, this shows how McCain is showing bad judgement with his associations and campaign strategy. He is becoming a puppet for the RNC hawks even worse than Bush.
