Caroline Kennedy
, President Kennedy's only surviving daughter, has been a strong supporter of and spokesperson for the Obama campaign. Obama has had no shortage of JFK comparisons this campaign and the endorsements from the Kennedy family have certainly encouraged them, so a Kennedy in an Obama White House would certainly look to Obama's legacy.

When asked about her role after the election on Meet The Press in August, Kennedy was evasive:

MR. BROKAW: Well, those of us who live in New York know about your passion and your commitment to public education. If Senator Obama were to be elected, would you think about moving to Washington and taking that on as a very active and high-profile role, the repair of American public education?

MS. KENNEDY: Well, I don't think there's a more important cause. I have absolutely no--right now I'm concentrating on, on tomorrow night, so you know, I'll come back.

I would like to see Caroline Kennedy named Director of the Peace Corps. As a former volunteer, I can tell you that she would bring a great deal of visibility to the Agency that her father began. Along with Michelle Obama's interest in public service -- they would be a team to be reckoned with -- it would be an incredible shot in the arm for both Peace Corps and public service. She would be great in that ambassador role!

As a former Peace Corps volunteer, I would love to see Caroline Kennedy appointed as the Director of the Peace Corps. At a time when Michelle Obama has indicated that she wants to work on public service (Ameri-Corps, Peace Corps, Teach for America, etc) they would be a force to be reckoned with. Caroline would bring the Peace Corps the visibility that it needs to encourage volunteerism across the nation. She would be a great ambassdor as she travels abroad promoting the Peace Corps. A strong deputy could run day to day operations but Caroline would be an amazing inspiration to those considering public service and incredible world ambassador for the Agency.

Ms. Kennedy-Schlossberg...

Can you say the Court of St. James? Like her grandfather before her...what a great fit.

Yes. Secretary of Education would be a better fit for Caroline Kennedy versus Ambassador to the UN. Having an extremely well educated and competent daughter of the American President that said - "Ask Not What Your Country Can Do for You, but Ask What You Can Do For Your Country."

Caroline Kennedy can inspire talented people to become volunteers and community service advocates in the school systems around this country and the world.

As an author, philanthropist, executive of non-profit organizations, with a tremendous amount of public speaking talent and experience - She would be an awesome example to inspire young people to enter the challenging position as our nations teachers for the generation to come.

Who could be a better choice than Caroline Kennedy? This is a shoe in for her.

This is perfect. It also got me reminiscin about when her dad was in the WH and Jackie organized a coop school for Caroline and the children of other WH staffers, with Jackie occasionally teaching art or leading in prayer. Will Michelle,Sasha and Malia follow suit?

heard from a very good source that Nelson A. Diaz is strongly being considered for Sec. of HUD. He was Clinton's General Counsel for HUD and would be a terrific choice.

Her dad was a champion for science, why not her as the champion for education. We all know that this country is in need for one!

This would be a brilliant choice, and certainly her father would have been thrilled at the election of Obama. Having Kennedy as Education Secretary would only add to the legacy of her family.

I think this would be the smartest decision President Obama could make for Secretary of Education. She is bright, intelligent, and not of Washington. That's exactly what we need right now - fresh ideas on how to improve public school education.
