Time:

With less than a week of campaigning left, Democrat Barack Obama is holding stable or growing leads over Republican John McCain in Nevada, North Carolina and Ohio, according to a new set of TIME/CNN battleground-state polls conducted by Opinion Research Corp.

Obama leads McCain among likely voters by 51% to 47% in Ohio, a 4-point margin that has not budged since last week's TIME's survey. But he now leads McCain by 52% to 45% in Nevada and by 52% to 46% in North Carolina, margins which are both slightly larger than those reported by TIME in its surveys a week earlier.

The new statewide surveys also show Obama leading McCain in Pennsylvania, the key blue state in which McCain is making a last-ditch, major push to score an upset, by a comfortable 12-point margin of 55% to 43%. But Obama still trails his Republican rival in McCain's home state of Arizona by a 7-point margin of 46% to 53%.

Don't count on any of the undecideds going to Obama. They won't. These are dormant Republican voters whom at best may stay at home.

You could say this is the modern day version of the 'Bradley effect'.

Obama will only pick up those states where his poll numbers have been consistently 50% and above.

DOJ Rebuffs Bush, Agency Won't Probe Ohio Voter Dispute

The Department of Justice won’t intervene in a voter dispute in Ohio that could have resulted in at least 200,000 voters being purged from registration rolls

People who are waiting for Nov 4th may find their votes don't count due to challenges, obstructions, not enough time to vote before states are "called," broken machines, not enough ballots, you name it.

Vote now and then take a bunch of friends on election day. You can still participate in the fun while knowing your vote will be counted.

If you're waiting, you're taking a HUGE RISK. Especially in the swing states!

Don't risk your future on this, it's too important!

I live in St Pete, FL and Gov. Crist
is allowing additional hours to vote here.
I work downtown and drive past the courthouse
at 5 pm and lines have been short. But since
the additional hours, yesterday the line
snaked around the block. woohoo!

LISTEN ALL: Please Go Vote! There has been confirmed reports of voting fraud with the Republican Party and it's supporters. Obama is need of all the votes necessary to create a landslide. Let's make sure that our state turns blue! Voting is a right and a privilege. Let's all make history together!

This election isn't over until the last vote is counted, and I know we have to GOTV and make sure our voters get out and vote, but let's be realistic, John McCain isn't going to win.

John McCain has been rejected by many Republicans in 2004 who supported George Bush. People like Powell, Smersconich (SP?), Hitchens, Buckley Jr, McCllellan, Matt Dowd, who are all staunch conservatives have endorsed and are supporting Obama because unlike John McCain, Obama has ideas and McCain doesn't.

Plus at most McCain rallies, Palin gets more excitement than John McCain, who honestly cares about John McCain?

The same party that is "supporting" John McCain trotted out another out of touch war hero in 1996 against Bill Clinton, Bob Dole, and look at what happened. Clinton smashed Dole in an EC landslide.

Add in the fact that there is now finger pointing going on in the McCain campaign just shows how unstable they are, they already know they are going to lose, and lose badly.

As far as GOP stealing the election, why would they want to do that when their senior Republican in the Senate was convicted on seven counts? That's the last thing the GOP wants right now is to be convicted of stealing an election, and every thing the GOP tries to disenfranchise voters backfires on them, just get out and vote, Obama/Biden have this one.

for all those chicken littles who are still crying "the sky is going to fall!" STOP! this election is over, but the media needs stories to keep our attention and their ratings up! early voting is a great indication of how the election will go. dems are coming out in droves and the GOP are staying home. i doubt they'll come out on election day because they would've already! bush had a huge lead on kerry in early voting, and we know what happened. obama's supporters are fired up and ready to go. please stop crying, especially you rachel maddow! these polls which show the race tightening cannot be counted on. rasmussen, gallup, and RCP are right leaning polls, so don't trust them! the next five days will be a formality. turn out the lights, the party is over.

You gotta have some compassion for the doom-sayers. No wonder people are terrified that the American electorate, which voted twice for Nixon, Reagan (Mr. De-Regulation and Deficits), and Bush, will be stupid enough to elect their most incompetent administration yet in McCain-Palin. The great unwashed love Palin to death. Let's hope they don't actually complete the ruin of America by electing her. Anyway, I hope you're right and the long night of utterly destructive Republican and triangulating Clinton rule is almost over. I'm a 65-yr-old white guy from Atlanta, whose ancestors owned lots of slaves, so I'd especially like to see a black man triumph on Tuesday, and I'd love to see the first presidential candidate of my lifetime who's brilliant, wise, honest, personally decent through and through, at home and in office, AND is a crushingly effective politician, actually WIN, demolishing the Republican slime machine once and for all.

Given how this nation sat on its ARSE and elected Boosh TWICE - I am not willing to beleive this is over until ALL three conditions have been met:

1. MASSIVE turnout that boggles the mind demonstrating CLEAR mandate for change
2. McCain AND Palin give concession speech
3. Media verifies that Palin has been shipped back to Alaska via one way

Good points, but you forget that John McCain is probably the worst Republican Presidential candidate since Bob Dole.

Also many Republicans are justifying Palin as a reason NOT to vote for McCain, I think that's what will keep either Republicans voting for Obama, voting a third party candidate, or staying home.

Yes, Bush was elected twice, but both times he was facing weak Democrat opponents. John McCain is a weak Republican candidate that even his own party can't stand. Bush had charisma, which John McCain lacks.

I know we have to GOTV and go vote, but in reality, the election is already over, because no one is going to show up to vote for an old out of touch war hero. Anyone who does knows he will lose, just like the people who voted for Bob Dole in 1996.

WARNING--vote early if you can possibly do that! Here in Arizona you have only today (Thursday) and Friday to do that (can't on Monday). Early voting lines are LOOONG, and will be even longer on election day everywhere. I worry that lines will be so long that voters become discouraged and go home. It's not enough that the polls say Obama is ahead, WE HAVE TO VOTE FOR HIM!!!

When you do go to vote, take magazines, treats, take folding chairs to offer to the senior voters in the crowd who can't stand that long. . . look at those hours as an investment in the future.

VOTES BY MAIL: Most states REQUIRE the ballots to be in BY ELECTION DAY 7pm, so mail them today or take them to an early polling place--DON'T FORGET! DON'T WAIT.

Sorry about the 'yelling', but we've got a few days to make this happen. I heart Huffpost posters, have really given me hope that this is going to happen . . . what a great group of Americans! Obama/Biden-08.

this is so true... draft is right around the corner with McBush. I heard last night that young people haven't been taking advantage of voting early; wondering why? It's now or never young folks... this is not something to be taken lightly. Your future for the next 4-8 years depends on your wise decision and action. Vote early or vote through Nov 4th... but please vote for the man who can and will make a positive difference in your young adulthood stage - college, jobs, more war(s), no social security, no ability to buy your first home and much more. This is a critical time.
Obama = Inspiriation
McBush = a GREAT DEPRESSION

I swear, Ohioans are the last to come around! I threatened in 2004 to leave this country if Bush was "re-elected" (and I obviously didn't go), but this time I know for sure that I just can't stay! Living in this state is just impossible!

Had a dream most upsetting Mr Obama was sitting down head in hands Ms Maddow was talking to him then she leaves .I then approach Mr Obama to thank him for working so hard for Americans and America
he turns to face me as I speak.I see traces of tears in his eyes I tell him I am sorry (for what I don,t know ) it was a dream after all . I tell him he has worked hard and thank him for working with me and how important this work was for our country it is at this point in the dream that I wake up .when I wake I am very upset and sad . something I feel has happened but I don,t know what but some thing is not right I fear he will not be my president it has been two weeks almost since I had that dream and even though I still hope I am very scared that some under handed crap has taken place .and McCain has been smirking of late vote America

Me too. I read an article where these young people said they were waiting for Nov. 4th. They want to all go together and make a day of it. I hope this is how a lot of them are feeling. As long as they vote. I have faith that they will.
