The best interview of real substance in the entire campaign.

Shouldn't be surprising considering she is a Stanford grad and Rhodes Scholar, and he is a Columbia and Harvard Law grad.

But the reality is that even though Rachel is clearly partisan, she was able to respectfully and firmly press the Senator on issues and policies that matter.

The real test to Rachel Maddow will be whether she is comfortable taking off her partisan hat once in a while. I'm quite happy she with the way she is right now.

But I wonder that if she can do that effectively and seamlessly, she may force executives in NBC News to rethink their plans for a permanent replace for Tim Russert on Meet The Press.

I think someone of her intelligence and understanding of our politics in this country, should not be overlooked for that role.

Reading and comprehension is a problem for some but it seems listening and comprehension is even more difficult. I find the Senator quite clear in outlining his policies and objectives. What is the problem? Is it because he is saying things they don't wish to hear or is it because they are so inundated with rubbish on TV and the net that when someone speaks clearly and concisely they yawn and turn off their receptors.

I LO VE Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann. The RESPECT they give guest is a reflection of who they are. I enjoy two hours of MSNBC.

Please bring whatever you need to get you through the wait, i.e. books, ipod, snack, meds, etc.. No matter what...STAY IN LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nov 4 - Partly Cloudy - 67°/49° (Go to www.weather.com and enter your zip code to check for the weather in you location. Do a 10-day outlook.)

For too long, the American people have seen the world through the filter of the American experience. We live in a country where our president seems to think you are either with us or you are against us. We believe that all arbitrarily drawn borders on a map represent a cohesive place like what we know here. We think that deep down, every person in the world wants to live in a country just like America. That is why we're at war with countries that have polar opposite social structures. We simply don't understand.

The US should have attempted a surgical strike to kill Bin Laden after 9-11. Yet we went to war and the mistake we made was to go in and terraform a country we knew/know nothing about. The structure of the world's societies are so complex, and yet we attempt to lump them together. Afghanistan, like Iraq, is a place made up of tribes and sects that were arbitrarily grouped together. The western world wanted to define borders and divide land, with little regard for the societies it would affect.

Afghanistan will be long and hard. Prepare yourselves. However, I would much rather have a president with a grasp of history and a true understanding of cultural differences and theories of governance to tackle this problem. I would rather not have a president who can only think militaristically. Obama is the right man for the job. McCain would simply continue to bellow, "Bring em' on".

President Obama will assure the world that there is still intelligent life here in the USA.

I can't hardly wait!!

Any young people out there, voting for the first time, MAKE SURE TO VOTE. Like Rachel said it is not in the bag yet.

Young people tend to get all excited about a candidate, and then when it comes to skipping
some other fun event, they might not vote. GO VOTE, THE REST OF YOUR LIFE MAY DEPENDED ON IT. Remember when McCain was talking to an audience of young people he said, "My friends, I will be asking you to fight in other wars. THERE WILL BE OTHER WARS." (Something like that anyway.)

See, the rest of your life does depend on YOU VOTING for OBAMA/BIDEN.

LISTEN ALL: Please Go Vote! There has been confirmed reports of voting fraud with the Republican Party and it's supporters. Obama is need of all the votes necessary to create a landslide. Let's make sure that our state turns blue! Bring your family and your freinds!! Wouldn't it be great to tell your kids/grandkids that you contributed to the most highlighted election in history? Voting is a right and a privilege. Let's all make history together!

I remember real journalism. It 's what took place between Rachel Maddow and Barack Obama. Intelligent questions about issues of substance addressed directly through intelligent substantive answers.

I could get used to this again.

Rachel is gangster like Keith, it's about time we had champions who aren't either wimps or simply so much like their republican counterparts, they have no edge.

Keith Oberman and Rachel Maddow are clearly the best thing that ever happen on cable news in years.

While I agree with nearly every post on this blog, I urge everyone who supports Obama and Biden NOT to rest on our laurels -- and certainly NOT to "count our chickies before they hatch." Remember, this election isn't over until Tuesday night -- maybe even Wednesday. And until the last ballot is counted, provided it hasn't been "flipped" in an EVM, we shouldn't be so quick to celebrate. Stay focused and encourage everyone you know to vote. Good luck to all of us, and especially to Obama and Biden!

Before Rachel got her show I listened to her regularly on Air America radio. She must eat, drink and breath all things government and politics. You would be hard pressed to find any subject regarding anything political in content this Rachel isn't informed about. I think Rachel is on her way of becoming one of the great political journalist of our times. Go Rachel!

The small area Maddow and Obama occupied had to have been the absolute smartest point in the globe at that time: Rhodes Scholar, former president of the Harvard Review. That's scary intelligent --- and just the kind of leadership we need...in media and in the White House. Kudos, Doctor Maddow!
