I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Faced with an overwhelming number of prominent conservatives receiving media face time for endorsing Obama, last night Stephen Colbert did the only sensible thing a prominent conservative egotist could do. He endorsed Obama. The move worked (as evidenced by the existence of this post) but Colbert also noted that in this terrible economy, the endorsement might come in handy after he loses his job and applies "to get a job running the combine at the new national farm collective" that President Obama would implement. Colbert also notes that he will still be voting for John McCain.

Wow, so much stating-the-obvious in a lot of these comments.
It's making my brain hurt.

Laugh out loud hilarious! I loved his conclusion at the end. Warning: a spoiler, if you haven't yet watched this:

I know what John McCain needs to do to look like a maverick: Endorse Barack Obama!

Colbert is quite the politcal humorist. I like his egotistical style. He pretends to be this hardline conservative guy while all the time ripping them apart. Entertaining and sometimes just too funny.

We all know voting is important. That goes without saying. But if you're tired of the same old talking heads tell you why you should vote, check out Cancel-Out 2008.

Our theory: if you don’t vote for your candidate, you aren’t able to cancel out a vote for the other candidate. So we’re encouraging people to find a politically-opposed friend or enemy, pair up with them, and pledge of cancel out their vote on November 4th. After all, if you don’t vote, you don’t cancel.

Check it out at http://apps.facebook.com/cancelout

Honestly..I had a glass of pepsi in my hand while watching Colbert last night....and I literally gasped and dropped the glass(now broken of course) when he said "I endorse Barack Obama". Shocking......lolol. Stephen is such a Maverick
