So how many of us are attending fundraisers with not entirely pure thoughts? How many of us are seduced by the notion that in a room full of people supporting Barack, maybe we'll meet guys who are at least a bit like Barack himself. Thoughtful, charming, a bit gangly, yet possessing the grace of a gazelle (a gazelle you want to text message with late into the night).

For the next few days, when someone claims they are voting for Obama because of his stance on the issues, I'm going to point them to this blog.

Obama, not the most qualified, but he may get you laid.

Great post! bHarmony, lol.
My younger brother is dating age, mid-twenties and I do find myself, w/great frequency saying things like, "well that's how Barack met Michelle" or "you know Barack did that too" or "you should xyz b/c afterall that's how Barack was able to abc" or "take her out for ice cream, like Michelle and Barack". Of course when I relate my own marital stories I'm Michelle and hubby is Barack. LOL.

This was always my... least favorite side of the Democrats (a party I vote with about 90% of the time :)

Treating politics as a sport and just going for the after-party cheapens the process for all of us, and is part of how we got into this mess to begin with -- too many people were just in it to vote for "their guy" and didn't bother to pay much attention to the issues involved.

I will be so happy if "politics as fashion statement" dies the quick death it deserves. Politicians are not a brand you can wear... or at least, they SHOULDN'T be.

My question is how many future marriages will be credited to an Obama rally? Next question how many of those marriages will produce of political power couples like the Clintons?
