Politico:

House minority leader John Boehner's spokesman confirms the accuracy of this quote, from an Ohio student newspaper:

"Now, listen, I've voted 'present' two or three times in my entire 25-year political career, where there might have been a conflict of interest and I didn't feel like I should vote," Boehner said. "In Congress, we have a red button, a green button and a yellow button, alright. Green means 'yes,' red means 'no,' and yellow means you're a chicken s***.

"And the last thing we need in the White House, in the oval office, behind that big desk, is some chicken who wants to push this yellow button."

Hey Boehner, did you weep for our troops when jmc didn't vote for the new GI Bill?

No?

Oh yeah. It's only the thought of getting our troops out of Iraq and back home safe and sound that makes you weep.

That and too much alcohol.

This 'voting present bash is pretty effective for those who have no clue what's going on.

Unfortunately it's too many people.

Better than having a president who wants to push the red button.
No chance this guy could lose his seat is there?

If the Republicans were winning this race, they would all be laughing calling the Democrats, stupid. But because Obama is winning this race, all the Republicans can do is cry and complain how unfair and biased this race has been.

If I lived in Ohio, I would be disgusted that such comments come out of the mouth of a representative of the people, just like Dole and McCain you are losing it. The election and your minds. Vote them out.

You don't know the average Clevelander then.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 10:20 AM on 11/01/2008

you mean the average Clevelander accept zero class and low IQ people to represent them?! I don't get it, but I am glad your Dad is the sane and smart one. And I hope you give some credit to those Clevelander - I do not live in Cleveland or Ohio, but I believe there are smart people live there... there HAS to be...

Cleveland is not Ohio. I too grew up in Ohio too, and I have to tell you the people I grew up with would not appreciate that kind of language from their elected officials. I suspect that even in CLeveland there are a lot of people who are offended. The Ohio I grew up with is respectful and does not beileve that vulgarity is the way to win an argument.

""Now, listen, I've voted 'present' two or three times in my entire 25-year political career, where there might have been a conflict of interest and I didn't feel like I should vote," Boehner said."

Liar. He's abstained 5 percent of the time. In the House, to abstain is the equivalent of voting present.

Well only those that could discern the fact that he voted "present" more than anyone else in his position, yeah.

It's "He Called An Ace An Ace". If you're going to try to be witty, please look up the right term-you're on the "internets" now, unlike your candidate.

This is what neocons resort to when anyone disagrees with them: Namecalling. How professional, how adult, how statesmanlike. What a pathetic way to live your life.

The majority of this country is fed up with the failed policies of the far right that have taken over the Republican party. We are ready for a change, and that makes the neocons very, very angry.

It is a gutless move.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:59 AM on 11/01/2008

It's NOT a gutless move. From what I understand, voting "present" expresses his feeling
that some parts of the bill may be good, but TOO MUCH OF IT is NOT GOOD. He doesn't
want to kill it if it has potential - so he votes present. I'm NOT surprised he had to vote
present so many times. I imagine a lot of bills that are put forth are full of crap.....so take
it easy. Obama knows what he's doing. Why second guess the man! Honestly!

Only a stiff like Boehner, would make such a lame comment.
I wonder Mr.Boehner, is there a button for MISSED VOTES?
John McCain Has Missed More Votes Than Any Other US Senator.
The only other Senator who missed more votes had a brain hemorrhage.
Some will argue Obama has missed votes as well.
Most of his votes were missed during a long, hard fought Primary.
During those primaries, where was John McCain?
The people of Arizona definitely weren't getting their money's worth.
Not to mention the times he was asleep on the job!

Mr Sensitivity, who cries when talking about the weather is now Mr Tough Guy, I hope you have enough colleagues left in the House to get a poker game going to keep you busy while we Democrats run the peoples house properly, of, by and for the people, shall not perish.
