Chicago Republicans are following the lead of their Democratic counterparts and crossing into nearby swing states to help campaign, Abdon Pallasch reports in the Sun-Times.
The Republican Young Professionals are making the short trip to Racine, Wisc. to canvass for John McCain over the weekend.
"We had about 40 people last week and I think we'll do better than that this week," said lawyer Doug Ibendahl, who's coordinating the effort. "Being from Illinois, we can offer voters a little expert knowledge because we know Obama."
