Couple Pleads Guilty To Selling Drugs To, Footage Of Amy Winehouse

LONDON — A British couple who sold video footage of singer Amy Winehouse apparently smoking crack to a newspaper have pleaded guilty to drug charges.

Johnny Blagrove and Cara Burton admitted in court Friday they offered to supply drugs, including cocaine and ecstasy, to Winehouse.

Prosecutors say the pair covertly filmed Winehouse and sold the footage to The Sun newspaper. In January the paper published the images, which appeared to show the singer smoking crack cocaine.

Detectives decided there was not enough evidence to charge Winehouse but they charged the couple.

Prosecutor Sean Larkin says police who raided the couple's home found a list of celebrities they supplied with drugs, including Winehouse.

A judge ordered the couple to return Nov. 28 for sentencing.

What's hilarious to me is that they were trying to be slick and make a quick buck by selling this video. They obviously weren't smart enough to ask that they not be identified so as to not be arrested for dealing drugs.

yes she does have a good voice - and she is talented. But so are many other singers - particularly black singers. She is not exceptional - she is just a white girl who sounds black.

That is what makes her marketable. That is why her talent is overestimated.

Winehouse' music and songs are sort of a bridge between me and grandparents. "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" and "To Know Him is to Love Him" - Grands call them "old standards". I don't quite know what that means. I heard the original songs, but Winehouse gives it a new twist that my friends and I sort of understand. I shared some videos with Grand like Tears Dry on Their Own, Valerie. He gave me mixed reviews, but we both agree that Winehouse style is non-conformist and very unique.

well - Grand YouTube her and whoaaaa - he was not too enthusiastic with Winehouse drug issues, but tells me that Winehouse style was like that when he was in his 40's. The women sported Cleopatra look, even Grannie had pictures looking like Winehouse with her hair-like-bird nest on the top of their head. Grannie text me back says " LMAO !

despite her many personal problems Amy is definitely an iconic entertainer. had she been born 60 years earlier she most likely would be considered with such greats like Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughn and Ella Fitzgerald.

Yes to all of that, which makes it even harder to watch Winehouse snort her life away. her music is so telling. I saw the movie about Billie Holiday, and Winehouse maybe following her faith.

I would not blame this couple for what is happening to Winehouse. Winehouse must have more suppliers [redundantcy]. The couple got what they deserve. It's up to Winehouse herself to get off the suicide wagon. For starters, it may help for her to get rid of the jerk she 'tied herself to".
