Progress Illinois:

Yesterday, John McCain couldn't find "Joe the Plumber" in an audience in Ohio. This morning, the GOP nominee couldn't seem to get him out of his head.

Case in point: watch McCain refer to the Democratic vice presidential candidate as "Joe The Biden."

Joe the Biden to differentiate him from Joe the McCain, the candidate's own brother who calls 9-1-1 to complain about bad traffic and thinks northern Virginia is "Communist"?

Well, I can see how easy it would be in McCain's mind to mix the two up!

I'm beginning to wonder if McCain's choice of Sarah Palin wasn't helpful to him in the long run. Her goofiness takes attention away from his goofiness. She actually makes him look somewhat sensible. If he had chosen someone like Mitt Romney, McCain's weirdness would be more and more apparent.

As I watched McCain do this again today, I wondered if he made a mistake or was just trying to play off of his Joe the Plumber line. It seems to me that McCain is angry most of the time during his stump speeches. He uses the word "fight" a lot, but there is little substance. I'm still not clear about what he plans to do to help the middle class. What he does say may sound good to the uninformed, but in the long run will do more harm. I don't want a President who fights and is impulsive; I want a President who will lead this country out of the messes we are in with calm resolve. Everyone must vote and check his/her ballot over at least three times to make sure it is complete and correct. Say a prayer each night that fairness and justice will prevail.

"In one week, you can put an end to the politics that would divide a nation just to win an election; that tries to pit region against region, city against town, Republican against Democrat; that asks us to fear at a time when we need hope. In one week, at this defining moment in history, you can give this country the change we need.....In one week, we can choose hope over fear, unity over division, the promise of change over the power of the status quo. In one week, we can come together as one nation, and one people, and once more choose our better history. That’s what’s at stake. That’s what we’re fighting for." GO VOTE NOW! Make History! Obama is need of all the votes necessary to create a landslide. Let's make sure that our state turns blue! Bring your friends and family - make it a group thing! Wouldn't you want to say 1 year from now, 5 years from now, or even 20 years from now that you contributed to the most highlighted election in US history? Wouldn't you be proud to tell your kids/grandkids years from now that you voted for this election? It will be the most talked about election for centuries. Voting is a right and a privilege. Let's all make history together!

I bet Joe the Biden got a kick out of this.

Can't wait 'til Nov 7th when we can all get back to being civil. Joe and John are actually friendly with eachother in real life, even if they don't agree on who will be the best President.

I understand you're anxiety, I have so many thoughts of 2000 still very much stuck in my mind; but, NOT THIS TIME; Senator Obama's campaign is so very well organized, we can only trust that they are aware of the problems, and will be ready to face them as they come up; they know the scum they are dealing with; again, NOT THIS TIME, and hopefully, NEVER AGAIN; a stolen election!

OBAMA~BIDEN, 08!
