New McCain Ad: Obama Once Praised Me!

Emptying out the opposition-research closet, the McCain campaign is up with a new ad featuring one Sen. Barack Obama praising John McCain's approach to global warming.

The spot, titled "Obama Praising McCain," will air in "key states." But it is unlikely to move the dials much, if at all. Obama has occasionally lauded his opponent for his stance on global warming during the general election -- as evidence of past ideological independence -- so the footage shouldn't cause much of a political shock.

Either way, with four days until voter hit the polls, its time for campaigns to utilize all the tolls they have at their disposal. So don't be surprised if we see more committee hearing video going forward.

Here is the script:

NARRATOR: The truth on global warming:

BARACK OBAMA: The right approach begins with the proposal put forward by Senator Lieberman and Senator McCain.

The Lieberman-McCain bill establishes limits for greenhouse gas emissions. It's a framework that's not only good for the environment, it's also good for business.

I want to thank Senator Lieberman, as well as Senator McCain, for the outstanding leadership that they've shown.

Palin Faces More Trouble Over 'Troopergate'

Sarah Palin faces another likely setback in an investigation into whether she entangled her duties as Alaska governor in a family feud with her ex-brother-in-law, a state trooper, according to a senior state legislator.

If I was stupid enough to be a Republican campaign donor, I'd want my money back. I've never seen a campaign waste so much money. What is this ad supposed to do - help Obama's case for being able to cross party lines and work w/ others??? McCain is stupid. Who wants another stupid President??

Well said KNadine

"So, contrary to my attitude of fecal flinging, race baiting, Joe Plumbering and women hating, my opponent maliciously intends to remain objective and to give my strong praise in the few cases I am in the right!

Obama just thanked McCain for this ad.

From what I have seen from Obama in the past 2 years, he's the type of person who has always been "hearty in his approbation and lavish in his praise". Speaking of which, there is a book called "How to Win Friends and Influence People" written by Dale Carnegie in the year of 1936 that teaches this principle along with many other positive principles. I would not be surprised if he carries this book with him - as if it was his bible. There are updated versions of this book and would highly recommend this book to everyone. NOW GO VOTE!

Many once thought McCain was honorable. Now he is just the incredible shrinking man.

If McCain plays his cards right, I'm sure he will have an equally gracious comment to include from PRESIDENT Obama in his next senatorial campaign.

Get use to the name 'Senator McCain'. This ad tells the people that McSame is better served as a Senator and that a President Obama will acknowledge his hard work in the Senate when it comes to it.

The McCain campaign has lost all credibility -- nothing they do will work.

That's not to say, Obama supporters should relax -- take nothing to granted .. underhand methods will still be used. The voters have to prove the polls right by voting en masse.

I amluvinit2, and I approve this ad.

Just goes to show that Obama meant what he said the other night on his special.

WE ARE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, emphasis on the UNITED. No bipatisanship there.

Whoop dee doo! Mr. McCain, unlike you, Senator Obama has been very respectful of you during his entire campaign. He almost always mentions your honorable service to this country. You, however, Mr. McCain decided to take a low road after you promised you wouldn't. I personally think you are not so honorable.

LOL, I have never been so disappointed in a political figure, like I have been in John McCain. He threw away all that is precious to all of us, our integrity. Well said.

This ad is so sweet.....just goes to show the type of leader we will have in a President Obama. If McCain had taken a page from Obama's book, he would have been doing better in the polls. Thanks McCain for reinforcing the fact that Obama is a better candidate and will be a better President. He is who we need to bring this country back to normalcy and once more unit our people.
