Ed Henry thought he could outsmart the smartest guy in the room, big mistake. He'll be going back to CNN with his tai l tucked between his legs.
Thanksgiving dinners are not what they were when I was young and Mom and Grandma were alive. Then of course I didn't have a care in the world about politics. It was "Wow! I just ate four full plates of everything!"
Now I care very much about politics. And now I try to get through one small serving of everything. Mom and Grandma are more distant -yet closer too. And I am so glad, so happy to hear Barrack Obama speak intelligently about our current dilemma, his appointments, and his policy and programs. All best wishes to him!
I cringe at the thought of what might have been. It is very much a Happy Thanksgiving!
well, at least there will be an 'outside government board' to inject some new ideas. ideas he wont get from DC insiders and his appointees to his cabinet posts. it remains to be seen how much influence or affect the board will have, but, it's a good idea. if he can keep coming up with ways to involve regular folks, and folks not ruined by washington 'ways', then we may yet get some 'real' change. and if you have an opinion, and you want to express it without being called a bunch of childish names, go to change.gov. i emailed the obama team with my concerns over his cabinet picks, and i feel like he was actually addressing my concerns. i'm beginning to think he's for real ,again. only time will tell for sure, and unlike so many of you, here, i intend to hold barack accountable, and express my views whenever i please. now ,start your 'change tro//' or 'purity tro//' attacks . they really make you all seem so unitable.
From what I've seen you're not a tr0//. You just display the fatalist nature that we progressives have patented.
it comes from 4 decades of watching dreams and hopes fail, because people weren't watching and holding people responsible.
Presidential.
A one word descriptive we have not been able to use for 8 years in regards to the resident of 1600 Pennsylvania.
Jetta, there is something about your post that is kind of heartbreaking. Or if not that, poignant. As if you have been suffering for 8 years solid and just longing all that time for the day when you could be proud of the presidency again. I know others feel that way but it's just the way you put it.
Yes, Obama is presidential. Clean through.
:]
the markets love Obama , the markets were way down this morning and after he started talking the markets are up.....................
Yeah I know!! He reasurred consumers that help is on the way.
Yup, the markets love a strong leader with a clear message and a clear plan. Jan 2oth can't get here fast enough.
You rock, Barrack.
ThankGod.
I've been avoiding this site lately simply from the "OMG teh Clintonz!" mass hysterics being bandied about and catching like a disease.
Don't let the tr0llz get to you, they'll try to resist for as long as the can but change is coming whether the like it or not.
Gleefully I am getting use to a coherent and articulate president. Weaning off of stupid quotes like “"I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here." -at the President's Economic Forum in Waco, Texas, Aug. 13, 2002, is going to be wonderful!
calm, cool, collective, confident, comfortable, commanding, cohesive....WOW.
and charismatic and may I say "Delicious"
Haha Ed Henry (CNN) got SHUT DOWN!!!
Careful, that was the Bush/Cheney mantra in 2000.
I am so glad he addressed the "are Clinton people really change?" argument the way that he did. He said exactly what I've wanted to scream at purity trolls for so long, except it was, of course, a lot more convincing coming from the man himself.
Listening to Obama is very reassuring. For all the quibbles I may have with his cabinet choices, it is comforting to know that we have someone intelligent and responsible in the White House.
Well said, my friend.
I have no problem with skeptics, but some are just being unreasonable and/or paranoid.
What I don't understand is how replacing anyone in the administration is not change? We want change from the Bush administration -- I was doing a lot better under the Clinton administration than I am now, so I think they knew what they were doing. And now they have Obama leading them, so it can only get better. It may take awhile, but it will get better for 95% of the population!
That's change I can live with!
during the primaries it wasn't about JUST a change in administrations. it was about a change from the 'politics of the past' by both parties. stop changing the message of change and we may just get it.
the change "comes from ME!"
It's nice to see where the buck is stopping again!
He told that guy! Whoo Hoo!
