New York Times:

"Monday Night Football" on Election Day eve will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers playing the Washington Redskins -- and Senators John McCain against Barack Obama as the half-time entertainment.

The presidential candidates will tape their interviews earlier in the day, at still-to-be-determined locations, with Chris Berman questioning them from an ESPN studio in Bristol, Conn.

Re: Redskins Election Prediction Trend: Although the streak was broken in the last election, much like America's hopes and Americans's dreams for the years since that awful day, the trend itself is very much alive and sitting at 94.444% correct since John McCain was born, according to:

I hate having to go for the Steelers!

BTW, we here in Canada have decided almost unanimously to move our border a few miles North of our shared border with the U.S. if enough inbred wingnuts down there put Sarah Palin within a heart beat of the Presidency. Not like she knows who we are anyway...and the small biffer zone will be enough, we are convinced to confuse her and pretty much anyone who would vote for her. The rest of you are more than welcome anytime!! ;-)

McCain will do the only honorable thing left for him to do at halftime at tommorrow night's Monday night football game.

On the eve of the election he will announce his endorsement for Barack Obama for President of the United States thus making history and sending shock waves around the globe!

Mr McCain in a rare moment of lucidity said "It's over and I admit I made some horrible mistakes. Among my tragic flaws was being seen with President George W Bush several times and declaring, on one the worst days in the nation's economic history, that fundamentally our economy was strong.

And ,in an error of truly monumental proportions, I chose a vice-presidential candidate quickly, desperately and recklessly who turned out to be the laughing stock of the nation- if it weren't so threatening to the nation's security. Many of my closest colleagues and advisors realized immediately after I chose Sarah Palin that the game was over", said McCain

"The welfare of our nation is more important than a McCain/Palin victory" - said a relieved looking McCain ,thus salvaging any shred of positive legacy for himself that might be remaining.

Obama really knows his sports. He's a serious jock. I hope they talk football. It will sway some voters.

Obama has promised that, if the Steelers lead 35-7 at the half, that 14 points will be taken from the Steelers and redistributed to the Redskins to make game better.

I am a NY GIANTS fan...

I am hoping that the Steelers do to the Redskins what the Giants did to them... The Giants will take the Cowboys & this will widen the distance between Big Blue & the rest of the NFC East...

McCain needs the exposeure.... And this will likely give him just enough flexibility to push both feet completely into in his mouth....

Obama will be at a Rally in Manassas, VA, which is where I plan to be Monday night.

And Tuesday morning, before the sun is up, I will be in line, ready to cast my vote for OBAMA.

We may drive to that Rally. I have already taken my 13 year old to one at Univ. Of MD during the primary, but a friend is looking for one, so we may go. It should be great...the last words before the big day. Then, same as you, I am up early to vote. Today we are down town at the Obama office (again, my son, who cannot vote, but will make calls to help, and my mother) to make calls to get people around the country vote.

McCain will say that when he was a P.O.W.(America's only ever P.O.W., you betcha) and was being asked for names of fellow troops he will say he gave the names of every NFL team's offensive line. And when we point out that McCain wrote in his book that it was the Packers' o-line, he will say we're making fun of his age.

Barack Obama - a real father, a real husband, a real athlete, a real American

"In one week, you can put an end to the politics that would divide a nation just to win an election; that tries to pit region against region, city against town, Republican against Democrat; that asks us to fear at a time when we need hope. In one week, at this defining moment in history, you can give this country the change we need.....In one week, we can choose hope over fear, unity over division, the promise of change over the power of the status quo. In one week, we can come together as one nation, and one people, and once more choose our better history. That’s what’s at stake. That’s what we’re fighting for." GO VOTE NOW! Make History! Obama is need of all the votes necessary to create a landslide. Let's make sure that our state turns blue! Bring your friends and family - make it a group thing! Wouldn't you want to say 1 year from now, 5 years from now, or even 20 years from now that you contributed to the most highlighted election in US history? Wouldn't you be proud to tell your kids/grandkids years from now that you voted for this election? It will be the most talked about election for centuries. Voting is a right and a privilege. Let's all make history together!

My prediction: McCain will suggest a play ala Nixon did for the Dolphins v Redskins Superbowl. He will show just how in touch he is and how old he is by drawing up the single wing wizzer reverse and call it in to the Canton Bulldogs. Then he'll wet his pants.
