Obama Ad

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama highlights Vice President Dick Cheney's support for Republican nominee John McCain in a new ad out Sunday.

The ad opens by touting Obama's recent endorsements from investor Warren Buffett and former Secretary of State Colin Powell, then cuts to video of Cheney from an event Saturday in Wyoming.

"I'm delighted to support John McCain," Cheney says. "I'm pleased that he's chosen a running mate with executive talent, toughness and common sense, our next vice president Sarah Palin."

An announcer says McCain earned Cheney's support by voting with the White House 90 percent of the time. "That's not the change we need," the announcer says.

WATCH:

The praise from Cheney, who routinely has some of the lowest approval ratings of any national political figure, came as Obama has been arguing that McCain is too closely tied to the policies of the Bush administration.

Obama's campaign said the 30-second spot would run nationally on cable channels.

What is John McCain's problem with the Middle Class? Why can't he utter the mere word? Is he such an eitist that he only pals around with the richest of the country? Why does he only want tax cuts for the wealthiest? Isn't that socialism for rich only???

Cheney's "WAR in Iraq was FAKE!" and McCain's "JOE is a FAKE!" And here is WHY!

McCain can NOT say "Middle Class" as it CHOCKS him, so he adopted "Joe the Plumber" as a "FAKE" surrogate for the Middle Class.

McCain uses "TRICK MIRRORS" to portray "Joe of Wall Street" who wears a suit and tie and makes $350,000 net income per year look like "Joe the Plumber" who earns less than $45,000 net per year and wears a T-Shirt.

McCain knows "Joe of Wall Street" who wear a suit and tie is "Corrupt" in the minds of Middle Class Americans, but "Joe the Plumber" is acceptable to the Middle Class!

In SHORT McCain's "Joe the Plumber" is a "FAKE" that "LETS McCain SERVE the RICH" but make it look like "He is Serving the Middle Class."

So why should it matter what "Joe the Fake" says about anything? It should NOT!

Makes you wonder if Bush/Cheney wants McCain to win...

Good ad though.

I think the Stephan Colbert quote applies: Reality has a well-known liberal bias

and besides, what if Obama is a guy that has less issues when becoming president, if that's true, what are they supposed to do, lie to make it 50/50 and equal, wouldn't that be covering stuff up.

This might motivate people who might not want to wait in long lines. I was making calls for Obama in Florida. I called a number of people who said they were voting or had already voted for him. Then I reached one woman who, when I said I was volunteering for Obama, "I ain't votin' fer no Nigg-r" Made me sick to my stomach. There is an evil in this country--a rottenness that we are doing our best to overcome. And Obama's election will be a momentous step in that direction.

...Which leads me to this question:

Is Cheney a secret Obama supporter?

If it wasn't for the documaneted media bias against the Republicans and McCain the race would be much closer.

Pew studied hundreds of TV and print news reports about the candidates and charted those that had a distinctly positive tone, a distinctly negative tone or were essentially neutral.

What Pew found was that 57 percent of all stories about McCain were negative, compared to 29 percent of stories about Obama; just 14 percent of McCain stories were clearly positive, compared to 36 percent of Obama stories. Twenty-nine percent of McCain stories were neutral, compared to 35 percent of Obama stories.

MSNBC was the least balanced, according to Pew: 73 percent of its McCain stories were negative, compared to just 14 percent of its Obama stories.

Major newspapers weren't much better. Sixty-nine percent of their McCain stories were negative, according to Pew, and just 27 percent of their Obama stories were negative.

And it has been no different when it came to the stories about Bush and Cheney.

How does it feel to be part of one big lie by the media giants to do a character assassination on McCain and Palin while not telling the truth about Obama? If I were a Democrat I would be very embarrassed.

But it's not over till it's over. So don't count those chickens too soon.

Republican should be embarrassed that their candidate has to constantly lie, be divisive and cheat to TRY to win this election.

AND Obama supporters know this election will not be over until all the votes are counted....we don't need anyone to warn us.

Even though the McCain/Plain and GOP are already trying to steal this election by INCORRECTLY telling voters in Virginia and Louisiana that Democrats vote on November 5th.... Obama supporters will not be fooled by the republican cheating ways this year!!!!

OBAMA/BIDEN '08!!!!

Wonder how they could separate the fact that McCain and his campaign have many negative things that can be said about it, whereas Obama's campaign has certainly been more dignified, appealing to reason and hope rather than fear and innuendo? So is it that the press is biased or reporting facts results in more negative stories about McCain and company? GO OBAMA

the media is reporting what it sees .....a negative campaign run by mccain....it's not bias it's just that mccain has not offered anything new .....just more negativity and scare tactics but no solutions......sad.....

With all due respect, an endorsement by Colin Powell is not exactly the change we need either.

Hey y'all! I'm making calls tonight (and tomorrow night) to Virginia, Ohio and Colorado. Take a break and do some yourself:

Pretty easy. Script and everything. Very brief GOTV calls. They'd rather hear from living, breathing humans than robocalls.
