Cheney Stars In New Obama Ad (VIDEO)

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama highlights Vice President Dick Cheney's support for Republican nominee John McCain in a new ad out Sunday.

The ad opens by touting Obama's recent endorsements from investor Warren Buffett and former Secretary of State Colin Powell, then cuts to video of Cheney from an event Saturday in Wyoming.

"I'm delighted to support John McCain," Cheney says. "I'm pleased that he's chosen a running mate with executive talent, toughness and common sense, our next vice president Sarah Palin."

An announcer says McCain earned Cheney's support by voting with the White House 90 percent of the time. "That's not the change we need," the announcer says.

The praise from Cheney, who routinely has some of the lowest approval ratings of any national political figure, came as Obama has been arguing that McCain is too closely tied to the policies of the Bush administration.

Obama's campaign said the 30-second spot would run nationally on cable channels.

I mean what did the country expect, cheney has been pulling the strings in this country all along, and now chose to come out of his coffin and endorse McCain. Not like McCain had a say in it, I am sure he was offered to take a hunting trip with cheney if he didn't agree. I mean, couldn't you see the scenario? Here is what I have found. If you copy the Obama/Biden Platform, Issue by issue and share this with Republicans and Independents, these FEARS and LIES evaporate.

At a recent Bar-B-Q held at my apartment complex, we had 6 Republicans show up. They were filled with the Fox News Ratings and Fears.

Using the Handouts we created, we opened the discussions by passing out the facts of the Obama/Biden platform. The Republicans in attendance had no idea of wher Obama stands on issues. Of the 6 McCain supporters 2 went home as we started taking and going over things. 3 or the 4 that stayed were convinced and would vote for Obama.

One on One, works.

FACTS win,,,, over FEAR.
