SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama highlights Vice President Dick Cheney's support for Republican nominee John McCain in a new ad out Sunday.

The ad opens by touting Obama's recent endorsements from investor Warren Buffett and former Secretary of State Colin Powell, then cuts to video of Cheney from an event Saturday in Wyoming.

"I'm delighted to support John McCain," Cheney says. "I'm pleased that he's chosen a running mate with executive talent, toughness and common sense, our next vice president Sarah Palin."

An announcer says McCain earned Cheney's support by voting with the White House 90 percent of the time. "That's not the change we need," the announcer says.

WATCH:

The praise from Cheney, who routinely has some of the lowest approval ratings of any national political figure, came as Obama has been arguing that McCain is too closely tied to the policies of the Bush administration.

Obama's campaign said the 30-second spot would run nationally on cable channels.

Alaska AG Under Pressure to Probe McCain-Palin Campaign

Alaska Attorney General Talis Colberg is under pressure to appoint an independent investigator to probe whether operatives in Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign broke Alaska’s criminal witness-tampering laws after the state’s personnel board advised him earlier this week that it does not have the authority to take up criminal matters.

Nice video but what does it have to do with Cheney? You are trying to scare white people or something. It will not work. We stand together as Americans.

I am black and I have never agreed with Malcolm X, believe me. Jessie Jackson nor Al Sharpton has ever been one of my favoriites either.

Obama is a different kind of man, the one we need. Get over it, He will be President.

If this is suppose to be positive, forgive me, but you could have done better.

It was supposed to be ( and I think it is ) positive. Those were different times, and I don't agree with all of the actions of those early leaders - but it doesn't diminish the message. Malcolm X was a brilliant man, and had said some truths that had to be said - then and now.

I'm white, and the video didn't scare me - it only reinforced my decision to support Barack Obama.

The truth is very powerful.

Malcolm X understood the error of his ways toward the end of his life, and stopped supporting violence. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are products of the civil rights movement, and even thought they have done some good, they are slightly out of touch with this generation. Barack Obama is a new generation of leader one that can truly bring all of us together, especially if he sticks to his campaign promises.

One has to wonder if Cheney's decision to endorse Mccain may have been a retribution for the disparaging remarks Mccain has leveled against the Bush and Cheney Administration the last few weeks.
Of course Cheney is a Republican but formost he is a self centered badly flawed ideologue who has proven consistantly that he really cares nothing for his Party or the Country by any standard of measure.

Did anyone hear Tucker Bounds trying to downplay the endorsement by claiming that Cheney is related to Obama? I thought that was hilarious...the most asinine defence to date from McBush, oops McCheney's campaign. One can only hope the Shrub will now endorse McCheney, just to get back on the ticket.

We need to make sure that we put the current VP on notice NOT to destroy or spirit out of Washington all those documents he he has sealed up in man-sized safes.

Those belong to the people's public record, as well as his notes on our behalf during secret energy policy meetings to manipulate gas prices.

A smart ad. Correct & to the point.

Umm.. Couldn't Obama have chosen a couple more boast-worthy endorsers to be featured in this ad?

The richest man in America and a war-mongerer... What does this say about Obama?

Sure, they're both better than Cheney, but I'm sick of the politics of the lesser-of-evils.

Maybe the neocons in their few moments of lucid thinking decided to put country first and support Obama rather than take a chance to have palin as President. What better way to support Obama than to have Cheyney support McCain!!

Please go to youtube and do a search for "thinkverybig" and watch all of those videos. They are very inspiring and uplifting to say the least. Also, please go to www.wemustchange.org and share the link with all you know.

If you know of anyone who's good with website designing and would be interested in donating their time to creating this site the way I want it to be, I would certainly appreciate it.

I am also interested in getting www.thinkverybig.com re-designed as well.

Never before in the history of our nation has a presidential candidate endorsed his opponent before the presidential election has occurred.

SO AT 11AM ET ON SUNDAY NOVEMBER 2, 2008, just 2 days before the election will be held, when John McCain announced his endorsement for Barack Obama for President of the United States, shock waves were felt around the globe!

Mr McCain in a rare moment of lucidity said "It's over and I admit I made some horrible mistakes. Among my tragic flaws was being seen with President George W Bush several times and declaring, on one the worst days in the nation's economic history, that fundamentally our economy was strong.

And ,in an error of truly monumental proportions, I chose a vice-presidential candidate quickly, desperately and recklessly who turned out to be the laughing stock of the nation- if it weren't so threatening to the nation's security. Many of my closest colleagues and advisors realized immediately after I chose Sarah Palin that the game was over", said McCain

"The welfare of our nation is more important than a McCain/Palin victory" - said a relieved looking McCain ,thus salvaging any shred of his positive legacy that might be remaining.

Sarah Palin could not be reached for formal comment since, despite Mr McCain's decision, she decided to "dump the old guy and go it alone". Constitutional and Presidential scholars were seen advising her on the her legal options with her makeup and wardrobe team still in tow.
