Cheney Stars In New Obama Ad (VIDEO)

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama highlights Vice President Dick Cheney's support for Republican nominee John McCain in a new ad out Sunday.

The ad opens by touting Obama's recent endorsements from investor Warren Buffett and former Secretary of State Colin Powell, then cuts to video of Cheney from an event Saturday in Wyoming.

"I'm delighted to support John McCain," Cheney says. "I'm pleased that he's chosen a running mate with executive talent, toughness and common sense, our next vice president Sarah Palin."

An announcer says McCain earned Cheney's support by voting with the White House 90 percent of the time. "That's not the change we need," the announcer says.

The praise from Cheney, who routinely has some of the lowest approval ratings of any national political figure, came as Obama has been arguing that McCain is too closely tied to the policies of the Bush administration.

Obama's campaign said the 30-second spot would run nationally on cable channels.

Do you suppose that the last great effort to bring to the voting places the Rightwinger Evangelical Pentecostals would be to have Shrieking Sarah speak in tongues while being anointed with laying on of hands by a couple of churchmen? Both Sarah and John Ashcroft are pentecostals. He was anointed by his father, an Assembly of God pastor, using oil when John would assume the political offices he held. John held prayer meetings each morning in the DOJ. Shrieking Sarah may adopt this practice in the VP suite, if the voters are mindless enough to vote for McBush to render unending tender, loving care of the Plutocrats.

What a horrific price the world has paid to create the ultimate parody in a political ad featuring El Diablo in a SNL like skit. It is trendy to state that we will all be one on November 5th but the reality is unfortunately far different. Thankfully, 6% to 8% more of us than them will save the union.

O bama voted YES on Cheney's energy bill that gave oil companies billions in tax breaks. Supports FISA. Rejected(!) a bill that will cap credit card rates at 30%.....WWill probably appoint Condi Rice to some post in his Admin.
Democratic Party IS better than Republican. Obam_a better than McCain... not by much. Forget the campaign speeches....

That energy bill provided strong economic incentitives for clean energy. That is why Obama voted for it. He made the right decision. McCain voted against it because while he gives clean energy lip service, it is not a major priority for him.

Obama is a LOT better than McCain.

If you dont think Obama's stand on the issues is better than McCain palin then I really dont know what to say. You point voting for the Cheney bill how many times does he have to say it he voted for it so that he could get money for ALTERNATIVE SOURCES of energy the bill contained tax credits for wind solar power etc. Its frustrating to me when people continue to act like they are dense or they think other people are stupid.
