NBC News' final map gives Barack Obama the win:

With two days before Election Day, the final NBC News map shows Obama remaining above the 270 electoral-vote mark, with a 286-157 lead over McCain. Last week, Obama held a 286-163 advantage. Our changes: We moved Montana and North Dakota (which has same-day voter registration) from Lean McCain to Toss-up. In addition, we moved Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and New Jersey (the latter of which we should have moved a couple of weeks ago) from Lean Obama to Likely Obama. So here's where we stand:

Likely Obama: CA, CT, DE, DC, HI, IL, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT, WA, WI (227 electoral votes)
Lean Obama: CO, IA, NH, NM, PA, VA (59 votes)
Toss-up: FL, IN, MO, MT, NV, NC, ND, OH (95 votes)
Lean McCain: AZ, GA, NE 02, SD, WV (24 votes)
Likely McCain: AL, AK, AR, ID, KS, KY, LA, MS, NE (the rest of the state), OK, SC, TN, TX, UT, WY (133 votes)

On Meet The Press Sunday morning, Chuck Todd tells Tom Brokaw that even if McCain wins all of those toss-ups, he'll still lose.

Brokaw: And Chuck, what about voter turnout and especially the organization of the two campaigns getting their people to the polls?

Todd: Well, we're seeing a lot of the early voting, a lot of long lines that's made folks question whether Georgia, South Carolina could end up being much closer than people thought because of this surge among voters, particularly African-Americans. And of course we've watched everything that's been happening in Florida and North Carolina this weekend, Tom.

Brokaw: And why would John McCain be spending so much time in Pennsylvania and New Hampshire in the final weekend, Chuck?

Todd: Well, it's a simple math problem that he's got. Heres our columns here. Im going to put all of the current tossup states in McCain's column and watch his number as it grows right up here. If you move all of these states over, Indiana, North Dakota, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, and Nevada -- you see the problem he's got. He's still at 252. 18 short. So what does that mean? If he pulls a Pennsylvania over, we see Obama goes done to 265, McCain gets his 273. Then you ask why New Hampshire? Thats the insurance policy. Nevada, a state that Obama right now has that narrow lead in, if that went to him, then McCain would need New Hampshire to get back over his 270. So it is the only path he's got left. They know this and that's why they had to figure out how to put Pennsylvania back in play. We don't know if it really is. We know he's spending a lot of time there and they had to figure out if New Hampshire, a state that's been incredibly kind to McCain's political career in the past, to see if it can resurrect him one more time.

The thing with Chuck Todd's analysis is that his analysis always plays a worse case scenario for Barack Obama... low turnout, enthusiasm, etc etc, and McCain STILL LOSES!!!

Chuck Todd doesn't figure in the number of newly registered voters and the magnificant ground campaign that Barack Obama has been running.

Worst case scenario: Barack Obama wins 286 EV.
Best case scenario: Barack Obama wins 300+ EVs, which I think is more likely. Either way, John McCain loses.

However, what was most funny was when Todd did this same analysis for Morning Joe. If you have peaked at this show within the past week (I only caught a few glimpses-- and it was like peaking underneath a log full of termites. I can't stand the show, needless to say, and don't watch it hardly anymore), you know that Joe (Scarborough), the host is frothing around the corners of his mouth for a McCain victory. He kept going on and on about how the polls were tightening and how they were moving to McCain. When they did the analysis, they came to the same conclusion: The only way McCain could possibly win the election was to win all of the toss-up states in addition to Pennsylvania. After the analysis, it was the longest pause that Joe has ever had . . . I couldn't help myself but to laugh.

The only way to prevent McCain campaign shannanigans to work is for everyone to go and vote for Obama / Biden. Even if you have to stand in very long lines, please do not give up and do not leave the polling place without casting your vote for Obama / Biden. Take a book, newspaper, IPOD with you to pass the time while waiting or just talk to othjer folks while waiting in line, but please do not leave the line without first voting for Obama/Biden. We need a large win in all the battleground states as well as in all solid states.. McCain campaign wiill continue to smear Obama with every label in the book and in in every possible way since they can'tt win on the issues (as they themsleves have admitted). Please do not allow them to insult our intelligence. Voters are a lot smarter than that. Each and every vote will count this year. Pleqse go and VOTE FOR OBAMA / BIDEN.

Do Obama's 20 year pastor's comments mean anything?

They do to me. The man is insane. How could Obama listen to that crap? If he had no idea what the Rev. was saying, then he is a dunce.

If you read Obama's books, you see a man studying the world around him. That's what this church was. Obama got pulled in because the church was huge in community affairs. The Rev. was the one who led him to God. OK ... so Obama is guilty of not vetting his pastor, no more. How dare us scrutinize a person's reasons for being in any group. This is America!

Obama is to be commended in his amazing ability to see the big picture - unlike so many of us. Obama strolls in where angels fear to tread because he knows that at our core we are the same. He knows how to bring the broken pieces together. He knows how to make dreams into reality. He's done it before ... now we can all do it together. Americans working together - what a concept.

They are running here in OR on Msnbc, but I did my research a long time ago. Obama is still number 1. Rev Wright was not on the ballot I cast this week.

Im amazed at Chris matthews and Pat Buchanan on Hardball right now giving McCain credit for "Not going for the jugular" and playing the Rev. Wright card. Who are they kidding? Just because someone else is doing the Rev. Wright hit piece with a 527, should that separate him from it?

I know... what is it with Matthews. He's seen and commented on all the nasty stuff all during this election. And then suddenly McCain is getting credit for not going after the Wright issue? WTF?

I couldn't believe it.

I hope the commentators don't "rewrite" this election history and make McCain out to be "honorable." *gag*

Do you find it curious that the some in the MSM are calling Virginia, North Carolina, Indiana and Montana "swing states" now that Obama might win them?

These states are not "swing" states, they are historically red states that are now either toss ups or are turning blue.
