Elizabeth Dole's "'Godless Americans' Ad Is Blowing Up In Her Face"

Liddy Dole deserves to lose for so many reasons. But, in the end, Dole really did herself in with that "godless" ad she ran against Kay Hagan. Public Policy Polling's blog, (PPP is based in North Carolina) had this analysis:

It is pretty clear to me based on our polling this weekend that Kay Hagan will be headed to the US Senate unless something very bizarre happens in the next 72 hours. While numbers in the races for President and Governor are basically unchanged from last week there has been clear movement away from Elizabeth Dole, a sign that her 'Godless Americans' ad is blowing up in her face.

On the surface, it would seem much of the Dems' success this season stem from Reps shooting themselves in their feet. However, looking deeper, it appears the strong, smooth campaigning from Obama and the DNC has pressured the Reps into committing fatal errors.

Her campaign merely reflects the morals and values of the Re publican Party; dis gusting from top to bottom; even the local Republicans are cr e eps ; at a local meet the candidate forum we (democrats) had to sit a pra yer service every time a Republican mounted the lecturn; clearly the separation of church and state is merely a suggestion to the Repblicans.

By the way, point of fact, her nickname is LIB BY a diminuative for Eliz abeth, not Lid dy ; though the Lid dy connection maybe more than a misspelling

I am not sure why anyone would vote for her. She was just riding off her husbands coattails. I would hate to be in a state where you are considered just a safe seat, so they can parachute any Republican candidate in there and assume they will win. It would say that I the voter am stupid and just get hurded like a bunch of sheep.

That commercial should have blown up in her face. I am sick and tired of these so call Republicans thinking they own the rights to GOD. They lie, kill, and steal all in the so call name of GOD. I think their problem was that America woke up. You have quite a few who are still sleep, but, to many have awaken. Some of these people at those rallies are the very people that Obama's tax plan would help. I just don't get it.
