Politico:

Is cartography destiny?

At the very least, John McCain's final 48-hour travel schedule reflects the degree to which Obama has determined the political map on which the campaign is being fought. Of the eight states McCain will visit, only two were in the Democrat's column in 2004. And in both -- Pennsylvania and New Hampshire -- Obama enjoys a lead in every recent public poll.

In the six red states he's stopping in the final two days, McCain is either losing, tied or up within the margin.

This almost sounds like the stories I have heard about him concerning his performance in Naval Academy. According to those studies, he had a habit of drinking and chasing tail only to cram for exams at the last minute and depend on the notes of others. Old age certainly hasn't made him any wiser. However, we have already had one sub par president -- but some people haven't seemed to have learned that lesson.

I just hope they figure out that America is tired of their type of campaigning and we aren't going to fall for it again!

Yes, Palin is heading for Alaska.

Given the fact that half of the voters are independent, the Steven debacle and her sinking in populrity are taking hold, she most likely trying to keep it from turning blue. There's some serious Democratic momentum there the last few days.

Very curious, Palin going to end up in Alaska where she belongs! First good thing they've done! But not only does McCain's travel schedule show he's desparate his ads show he's desparate too - More negative than anything. What a leader!

I just got a McCain robocall today here in PA. They are every bit as distasteful as has been reported.

I can't wait to get McCain and Palin the hell out of here and out of my face.

Hold on... the article says Palin will stop in Colorado en route to Alaska. So, she is not actually going to be with McCain on election night??

We don't want her here!!!!

McCain probbly doesn't want her big mouth losing about her 2012 bid the minute he loses.

Send her back to Alaska and let her sort out her family issues. A couple more knocked up teenagers' babies to raise, and she may never be back. I can always dream!

Well she should start her decline to Colorado en route to Alaska.... She was a dangerous drag on his sorry-a$$ campaign from the beginning! Good Riddance!!!

I will be so happy when Obama wins.

I turned my back on the GOP because of the neocons that likes to question the patriotism of someone who doesn't think exactly like them. I don't hear the Democrats questioning someone's patriotism.

I used to have a lot of respect for John McCain until he embraced the neocons who trashed his family in the 2000 GOP primaries and let those same people run his presidential campaign. I think that, especially after looking at recent polls in his home state of Arizona, McCain's political career will be close to finished and he would be better off not even bothering to run for another term in the Senate in 2010.

It's a lesson these politicians need to learn!!

The story indicates that "Palin will stop [in Colorado] en route home to Alaska". If Mac and Cheesy are so convinced they are going to win, why would they be sending Cheesy home to Alaska? GOOD RIDDANCE! And send "Joe the NOT a Plumber" with her!

"Palin will stop [in Colorado] en route home to Alaska".

Maybe her water broke again...

I think she's hatching a giant goose egg this time! (Apologies to Trig, whoever his real mother is; since we never did see those medical records, did we???)

2 more days!
Almost time to chill the bubbly!

GOTV!

You know, on that note, it's funny for someone who would want to take away the right of a woman's privacy with her Doctor (Roe vs. Wade) - wouldn't be ready, willing, and able to supply her medical records.

Must be something in them... hmmm... what did party girl Palin do during her college tour?

I have to read this for myself. So she is finally going home. Danger Mouth is going home to Alaska, and yes she should take Joe the NO Plumber license with her! Him and his book deal and Press Agent! The whole lot!!

Senator McCain,
When you go back to Arizona, please take Joe the Plumber with you.
