Barack Obama was rejoined on the campaign trail this weekend by wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia, who have been in school and out of the spotlight since the DNC in August. The family made stops in Pueblo, Colorado, Springfield, Missouri, and Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio. Naturally, a few public displays of affection between Barack and Michelle ensued.

This is an incredible time for people like me who were raised with the usual white prejudices.

Slavery corrupts and poisons the "master," and the delusion of racial superiority gives people an ugly and unreal world, full of fear to live in, rather than the world as it actually is.

So we Americans are exceptionally fortunate that this man came along when he did. No one "gave" Barrack Obama anything, he did this on his own intellect and grit. There's no quota underneath Obama, just his brilliant mind and exceptional executive ability.

He's freeing us from the painful, narrow and unrealistic world-view that stands in opposition to the promise of America.

Thank you to HuffPo for reminding us of how a loving couple and family can stay together while achieving historical effort. It's great for kids today to see what's possible through commitment and hard work.

I just read Itsme23's post too. I copied it and sent it my daughter and friends. Truly amazing and not hard to believe at all. My niece is employed by the Obama campaign. ( campaign director for Indiana, she worked as his political director in Iowa before that ) .....the Obama's REALLY are that genuine.
