Gov. Sarah Palin kicked off a rally in Ohio this afternoon with a feisty shot at Ms. Fey, who has played Ms. Palin with dead-on accuracy on "Saturday Night Live" for the last two months.

You know what I find funny? Her complete confidence that her intended run in 4 year's time will be well received. I think she is in for a big shock when everything she has ever done, every person she has ever spoken to and everywhere she has ever been will be under the media microscope and dissected every which way. That's what every potential candidate has had to go thru and she will have her turn.

As usual - she is clearly not prepared for what she is getting herself into. I have popcorn ready, it's gonna be interesting. =)

What is she planning on doing with Trig - putting him in a home? He will need massive amounts of intervention very soon to make the most of his potential. It makes all the difference with these kids. Speech and language therapy, physical therapy, intensive developmental therapy... he needs more than a mom on a full-time quest to satisfy her ambition can possibly provide. And Todd does not look up to the job.

For all this Sarah Palin 2012 business, I hardly doubt she would be able to last 2 years on the campaign trail, criss-crossing the nation back and forth, doing talk shows and primary debates while raising a special needs child and her other young children. I don't think she would get very far; lets face it-she appeals to social conservatives and that's about it.

I don't think she wants to work all that hard.

I've read, don't know if it's true, that she worked 89 days as governor in 22 months.

She got a plum appointment - a job that had something to do with oil and gas - $122k a year - and hated it because of the regular hours and the commute, and soon she quit.

I think Sarah likes the perks but doesn't like to work too hard.

When the entourage leaves and she has to do her own hair and nails again, it won't be so much fun.

I disagree with most of the posters on this thread. Fey will need the Palin outfit frequently:

* When McCain/Palin loses
* A nice spoof for inauguration, showing Palin crying in a corner somewhere
* When the AK legislature initiates action to remove her from office
* When she politically self destructs...

Oh please, please may she be around for the next four years, gearing up to run against incumbent Obama in '12! Tina Fey's run on SNL has been one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time, it's brilliant. I would be sad if goofy Sarah just went away, there, ya know.
